Q: If I buy a phone from OKorder that is locked to T-mobile, would I be able to activate service with them? I'm 18 and have no credit history, so would I have to pay a deposit?
There are two types of phones sold on OKorder: Phones with a contract and phones without a contract. A phone without a contract: all you need is a T-Mobile Sim card. You can get a prepaid one or you can set up a plan. A phone with a contract: Its a lot cheaper but you will have to activate the phone through the seller, which means for you putting up a deposit. What I would do is go to a T-Mobile store and tell them that you are getting a T-Mobile free from your dad and what your options are. Don't let them talk you into signing anything right there and then. Go back home and think about your options and then make a decision.
Q: I am getting a plan with boost mobile soon. I was looking for boost mobile phones on OKorder but I couldn't find one that I like. So I wanted to ask: Which phone should I get?*I like to text*I want something cute*I don't want it to be to old.So what do you recommend?
I have Boost Mobile and I purchased the Motorola i335 and am very unhappy with it. It's terrible for text and has a short battery charge. The small display on my phone is very scratched already with just normal use. I tried to return the phone in the first week after I purchased it with no luck. I have the 50. Unlimited plan and added 10. for unlimited international text. No one else I've found offers unlimited international text. Boost has the best plan I've found but poor service quality and the Motorola i335 is not a good phone. I know this does'nt answer your question but may be helpful.
Q: I am going to Poland for a few weeks and I was wondering if my phone will work there. Poland got the phone network T-mobile and i was just thinking maybe it could let me call to other people in Poland or just the US. Please helppppp.
It depends on the model of phone you have, but generally most phones through T-Mobile will operate in other countries. Your best bet, however, is to purchase a local SIM card for your phone (they are easier to buy in Europe than in the States) so that when you make phone calls, you don't wrack up a tremendous bill. If you call from Poland to the States, or from Poland to anywhere else in Poland, from your US cellphone SIM card, you're going to be looking at a very expensive phone bill.
Q: how is it to set up a mobile phone contract in denmark?
Depending on where you are from , another EU country then its simple no they dont need a CPR number if you have a driving license and an address here there is no problem, I did it with 3 about four years ago, if you have a CPR number then its basically the same procedure. takes fifteen minutes. If you are not from the EU then I am not sure what they will need. Contracts are for 6 months, so the new phones can be expensive, there are some plans that again the contract is 6 months but you pay for the phone over a longer period of time. RR
Q: I want to sell my Pre-paid Virgin Mobile Prepaid phone, but before I do I want to make sure that you can reactivate it after you cancel so whoever buys it can actually use it. Can someone please tell me how to cancel it, and how the person buying it can reactivate so i can pass that info to them? Please answer this. Who ever can answer this will get BEST ANSWER and the HIGHEST POINTS POSSIBLE I CAN GIVE!!! :)
Would like to know this too
Q: What does the flagship phone mean?
Now the flagship phone, it will fall on the need to configure a higher system like Andrews, Windows Moblie.
Q: I know there's that online service which help you send free text messages to mobile phones. it's like you choose the service of the recipient write down the number and the message then you send it.does anyone know a good site or link to send texts online? please help with that.
yahoo messenger does them The SMS feature lets you send text messages to your friends' mobile phones right from Yahoo! Messenger. Just type in a friend's mobile phone number, compose your message like you would a regular instant message, then hit Send. Your friend will receive your text message on their phone, and their replies come back to you in Yahoo! Messenger. It's free to send SMS messages from Yahoo! Messenger to your friends (and to receive their replies). However, your friends may incur data charges from their mobile carrier for receiving and replying to your messages.
Q: I am using my mobile phone's GPRS connection to connect to the internet thru a USB cable connected to my laptop. However when I browse the web I don't get the speed indicated in the network icon and it seems like the data received sent is intermittent.
All GPRS connections are not equal. For instance, T-Mobile is pretty much 56k (in my area). But, Verizon is about the speed of DSL. There maybe some configuration options in the properties of your network neighborhood for this connection. Look for performance or power save. Many of those cards come with optimal powersave which can affect performance.
Q: Could someone explain the social impacts of mobile phones in the UK?
this could be a double side sword. in many procedures the cellular telephone has provided the possibility to maintain in greater perfect touch with kin and company contacts on a 2nd by skill of 2nd foundation. on the different hand, each and all of the technological advances that have now placed mp3 gamers, textual content fabric features, digicam's, and different instruments in the telephone have introduced some type of isolation that links human beings to and with the telephone and not persons. mothers and fathers have allowed babies to hyperlink themselves to the telephone without suitable training and coaching that has created a sub subculture in its self. I word this familiar as a public extreme college instructor. I gave my daughters their first telephone at sixteen and disabled the textual content fabric characteristic. the telephone had no digicam, mp3, and no cyber web connection. The weren't allowed to take it to college. I on no account enable my own young ones or others in my motor vehicle to hearken to hint on headphones. We communicate and communicate with the babiesthey like it!
Q: 950 million phones sold last year and the total worldwide mobile subscriber base grew from 2.1 billion to 2.7 billion. Phones are replaced every 18 months. How many people have more then one mobile phone? what do they do with old theyone?
I would suspect there are a LOT of people who keep at least one old phone around just in case they break their new phone, especially if that old phone is some plain-jane phone that isn't worth much on the used market. If the phone is actually still worth anything on the 2nd hand market, they often get sold on OKorder, craigs list, local newspaper etc. Many, and I mean a LOT of phones never fully survive 2 years. You are also looking at this from a very skewed perspective, that of the 2 year contract or 18 month replacement cycle. In Europe, it is normal to purchase the phone and the service separately, no contract, no subsidy, no waiting 18 or 24 months before replacing a phone. You are free to buy a phone, or many (at retail, maybe $500-$900+ for a smart phone) sell at will, swap your SIM from one to another. It would not be strange to have a phone for work, one for the weekend, an old beater for dirty enviroments Also, if you are someone who just wants a plain old mobile for Emergency use or to make the occasional phone call, there is no reason you can't keep the phone for 3,4,5 years. There are just WAY to many variables between total sold and total subscribers to make any kind of real comparison. If the subscribers grew by 1 billion, but number of phones sold grew by 500 million, then you could conclude that the used phone business is doing very well, but short of that, you just can't make any comparisons from those numbers.
