Q: Hi,I can't find a decent, easy-to-read (and understand) website which will thoroughly explain most of the advantages and disadvantages of mobile phone masts. So I decided that maybe some of you clever people could help me! The freq are such that the signal should be line of sight. So if the mast does this for u it is important, U want coax of a type that will have a minimal loss at that frequency. Now the impotent part is a directional antenna with about 10dB gain. If done right the gains should make the difference.

Any transmitter/receiver combination has the possibility to interfere with some other combination. To my knowledge, it has never happened with aircraft. The law against cell phone use is not an FAA rule, but an FCC rule. Reason:You will tie up every tower in range of your cell phone while in an aircraft. As any radio operator should know, the higher your antenna the better reception you will get.

Q: i have an att phone(cingular) and would like to put it into something like a sidekick lx or the t mobile shadowp.s. i have the regular att sim cardis this possible?: Yes, it will fit, however, if you are putting it into a cell phone that is exclusive to T-Mobile (such as the LX) you will not have a lot of the features you would have if you kept T-Mobile. With the LX (and the Shadow, I think), you will only be able to make calls and text messages.

Q: after all the accidents that have been caused by using mobile phones is it not time the goverment put a complete ban on hand held and hand free mobile phones in all vehicles, after all before mobiles there was no problem: I think most people have used their mobile phones when driving at one time or another, I have done it and I nearly piled into an oncoming car, it really is one of the most frightening bad driving habits today, I dread to think what could have happened had I crashed into that car, not just to me but to the people in the other car. The thing is its just too dammed easy to do, people in general don't think their doing anything wrong, I have seen cars swerving all over the road for no apparent reason, you think to yourself, what the hell is wrong with him/her and guess what, they were on the phone. Unless someone comes up with a better way of controlling this, then the only way is to treat the offenders the same way you would treat a drunk driver, possibly even worse.

Q: I want a touch screen T mobile phone that does not require me to subscribe to web access.Does anyone know of a good one?: T Mobile has had many problems with their [phones and network since they found out that they are merging with ATT. I know first hand. Since they know that this merger will go through T Mobile just stop caring. Their goal is to sell as many phones as possible to lock you into a contract. T Mobile has spent millions in legal fees because their employees continue to give out their customer's ssn and pass code. I have the case number for this. I hope that this helps as a great deal of research has gone into this.

Q: I have a T-Mobile Shadow. It's old and beat up and I got it in about 2008. I think Its due for an upgrade but I don't know which phones I can get for it. I really want the HTC HD2. I was wondering if I could upgrade to that phone for free or if it would cost anything. Or any other phone for that matter. Preferably a touch screen phone, its just easier.: You need to go to the T-Mobile website and sign into your account or if you haven't set up an online account, do so. All cell phone carriers have their sites set up that will show you 1. If you qualify for an upgrade. 2. How much this upgrade will cost. For instance: Sprint lets me get an upgrade every year. Some phones are absolutely free and some I would have to pay a small fee ( such as a 300. phone I might only pay $50). Also, Sprint will let me upgrade after 6 months however, the credit I get is less. At 6 months, I get $50 and then at 8 months $75 and so on.) If you are not computer savvy and cannot find how to do this on your own, call T-Mobile. They will gladly and willingly direct you to their sales department and tell you what you qualify for.
