Q: alright pay as u go (myphone) well its broken so i want a sidekick 2 or 3. since i didnt have a monthly bill will it be more for me or can i buy a side kick ll for about 250$ or less? How much will it cost! P.S- my pay as u go phone was t-mobile
Lemme run this down: -You had a T-Mobile to Go phone. -You don't want a monthly bill -You are concerned with how much it will cost you for a Sidekick. Now, to the answer. Okay, first, you need the Sidekick, because it is kind of hard to make the switch from a regular T-Mobile to Go phone to a Sidekick to Go. It'll cost you $400 to get a Sidekick 3 for To-Go, if you choose to buy it direct from T-Mobile. But you may have some tough luck to get a Sidekick, even a Sidekick II for under $250, even on OKorder. Sometimes the bids go really high, but you can try! The Sidekick to Go plan is simple - you get all of the Sidekick services (ie; IM, TXTing, Email, Web Browsing) for $1/day (regardless of whether you use it or not) and 15 cents a minute for calling people. For a monthly plan, it can cost $30/month without minutes, or get the Add-on and you have minutes with a $20 extra charge for sidekick data. I did a bit of research, and I saw mostly broken Sidekicks IIs for under $200. Or, they are missing a charger. But for a Sidekick, it can get over $500 on OKorder, but rarely goes under $100. But be forwarned - try Buy It Nows: they end quicker (duh) and can be better when you buy a phone so it doesn't get too hard to buy it.
Q: Hi, I've got a work mobile phone and a home mobile phone. This means that I have to carry around two handsets with me at all times and it's starting to get on my nerves. Is there any way for me to put two SIM cards into one phone?
I don't think they make phones that accept two SIM cards at the same time. What they do make are SIM cards that hold two numbers. I have a TWIN card with Vodafone in Spain and I can switch between the two lines without taking the card out, simply by typing the PIN number for whichever line I want active. I can't have both on at once, but I have a free automatic divert from one line to the other, so people calling my Private line are patched through to my Business line without noticing. Doesn't do it for SMSs which is a real pain.
Q: I bought a sidekick phone from t-mobile in the states. and I was wondering since it says that it's a quadband phone and unlocked, if I could use it in germany?? aren't quadband phones suppose to work everywhere in the world? could I just put a SIM card from a german provider in my phone once I get there?will it work??thx
Yep, will work. I did the same with my three-band mobile phone from the states. I also bought it from T-mobile. I am German and was in the states for some time, loved my phone and took it back home, put my old sim-card in from my prepaid phone -works! No problem, other than the language I have on my phone is English now, and T9 for texting won't work with texts in German, as the vocabulary I would need to teach my phone exceeds the capacity. So I type my texts manually. But what the heck. Phone works.
Q: can t mobile unlock phones?
they will only unlock the phones under certain conditions. 1) its a tmobile phone 2) been a tmobile customer for at least 90 days 3) say you wantt o send your phone overseas as a present. (this will make it easier for u to say this.)
Q: I need to call Orange mobile phone people off a landline but i cant find there number anywhere?? anyone know it.??Mch Lve x

Q: I mean children as small as 4th grade have personal mobiles for friends. Isn't it tooo much?
It is not necessary for kids that age. Children must be old enough to be responsible with such a device. I would say 6th grade, give it a try. However, they must be aware it never goes to school.
Q: I only need points on the social issues about mobile phones :) Ty
Speaking on the mobile phone in public is a nuisance Texting while in meetings or class is insulting to the speaker If there is a ring assigned or even if the phone is on vibrator and it goes off while in a meeting or a classroom it is disturbing.
Q: I am thinking about getting the blackberry curve from Virgin Mobile in the prepaid plan. It will be about $160.00 for the phone then $35.00 a month for unlimited text, data, and mobile web with 300 minutes talk time. Is there a better deal for a blackberry anywhere else? Reviews of this phone? Is it worth it? Can you see a picture of who texts you? Can you set multiple text ring tones? Any advice????? I currently have a Verizon prepaid samsung intensity cell phone so would I be able to use the same number for the new Virgin Mobile cell phone? If you have this particular blackberry and the $35.00 plan please answer as best you can and fill in as much info as possible!!! THANKS!

Q: Firstly how come a mobile phone gets 'locked'?What does it mean?
Mobiles only work to one network such as O2, orange, vodafone, and will not work with any other sim card. By unlocking it you make it so that any sim card and therefore any network can be used. I'm not sure how it's done but i know it involves a computer. I had mine unlocked and took it to the market, they did it for ?10.
Q: .adversely affect the functioning of an airplane's Radar with the distinct possibility of it crashing then why do terrorists bother with knives, bombs and guns?!.
Mobile telephones do not interfere with aircraft systems. As a result, a terrorist trying to use a cell phone to crash an airplane would be wasting his time. There are anecdotal reports of alleged interference, but nothing that withstands a scientific test. In fact, pilots sometimes use their cell phones in the cockpit—and if the phones really did interfere with aircraft systems, using them in the cockpit would make that very obvious, very quickly. The real reason cellular telephones are banned in flight (in the U.S.) is that there is an FCC regulation that prohibits their use. The regulation was originally put in place because it was feared that cell phones in the air would overload base-station networks on the ground. We now know that this isn't true, but the regulation remains in place. There's also a FAA regulation that prohibits the use of electronic devices in the cabin during flight unless the operator (that is, the airline) has determined that they are safe. Airlines never bother to test electronic gadgets, so they just prohibit them instead, at least during takeoff and landing. However, airlines don't follow the regulations entirely, because they still allow them during cruise flight, which is a violation of the same regulation that bans them during other phases of flight. Sometimes cell phones can produce an audio buzzing noise in nearby audio equipment, such as stereo systems or headphones. Very close proximity is required for this (a few feet), and it's just an irritation, not a compromise of avionics systems or a safety issue. In any case, until and unless the regulations change, cell phones can't be used in flight. The relevant FCC regulation is 47 CFR § 22.925; the relevant FAA regulation is 14 CFR § 121.306.
