Q:im getting an pink-toe tarantula and iv got a glass tank , iv got a few things to ask , iv brought T-Rex soil bedding i think my mate called it coco fiber would that be ok ? also im gonna feed my tarantula roaches but should i dust them ? also can i feed my tarantula meal worms? also im gonna buy wax worms iv herd they turn in moths and iv herd they love moths would that be ok ? if they do love to eat months how would i be able to help them turn into moths .: had something to do wtih like industrial revolution

Q:can i use soil as a medium because havent got any vercumilite for bearded dragon eggs?: That is not really a good idea since soil contains bacteria, larval forms of some insects and does not hold the temperature or the moisture content correctly. The best suited product for the hatching of eggs is vermiculite and the second best is sand, the breeders will tell you that. The next thing you could be doing is placing them in an incubator, commonly used for hatching chicken eggs the incubator will do fine for bearded dragon eggs, just make sure you get one with a temperature setting. In case you need to make the temp warmer or cooler. You can get an incubator at a tractor supply store, Co-Op or a farm supply store that sells grains and animal feed. Any store that sells farming supplies would have them or a place that sells live farm animals like chickens or ducks would have them as well. You can even order them online.

Q:Does anyone know where I can buy Vermiculite for gardening other than online?: First, have it tested to find out AND have someone who knows what they are doing interpret the test results. Second, it's probably more dangerous to remove it than to leave it in place, maybe cover it with a layer of cellulose to reduce exposure. Third, hire an abatement company, it's the only safe way to do it, unless you experienced with this type of thing, not to mention you can't just put it out with the trash if it has asbestos in it

Q:what if i'm gonna use half vermi and half manure?what if i'm gonna add coir as well?: Vermiculite is a potting material that's availabe at any garden center. Select clay pots and grow the seeds individually in the potting mixture. All plants need moisture, especially trees. To get a tree to sprout, place the pot in a window with good light (not sun) and water when the potting mixture feels dry to the touch. Not all of the seeds may sprout. After they have reached a height of 6 to 12 inches, transplant to a well drained spot with plenty of sun. Keep them watered. Keep in mind that the two species of tree that you mention require certain climates. Don't expect much luck if your climate isn't conducive to those trees.

Q:i was going to mix coconut coir into my potting soil (which is mushroom compost, topsoil, fine bark and pumice). should i add one of the above to help aerate the soil?: you could use vermiculite. But i have had the bet luck with moss. You just want her to be able to dig in it. Also try to stay away from coconut fibers.

Q:Hi, I have access to 30-50 large solid white plastic pails, with handles. They are used by a large soft drink manufacturer for their product. What could I make out of these that would be useful?Thanks folks, I look forward to many great suggestions! :):): I use them a lot for storage of all kinds of things. I keep the soil for the garden containers in them, vermiculite and perilite, I keep compost tea in them, I slit a hole in the top of them, connect the plastic bags you get at the grocery by the handles and thread them through the hole to make a plastic bag dispenser, I use them to store wrapping paper rolls, electric extension cords (same slit idea that the cord fits through), and Christmas Tree lights as well as the evergreen fake garlands. I also use them to store dry goods, like kitty litter I use for flower drying and cleaning the driveway from oil. You can even decorate the outside to make them look nicer by gluing on wallpaper, wrapping paper and even just brown bags so you can write the contents on the outside. I have even decorated them and used them as a container for a gift basket of gardening tools for a beginner.

Q:Can plants utilize the minerals in vermiculite?: Wow...okay. First you need: Incubator Vermiculite (get from home-depot) Tubbawear container You also need to know that there is MANY steps in the gravid process. The female needs a nice cozy place to rest. She will not eat for a while; until she lays. The eggs might not be fertile. It depends if she mated with the male or not. Also, if this is the females first time laying eggs, then there is a 50/50 chance they will not be alive. The baby geckos inside the egg should not be turned like a bird egg. They will need to be in a incubator for around 2 months. The temp also determains the sex. If you want males, set the temp. at 86-88. If females, then put temp at 81-84. I really can't think of much else..so yeah. Um.. if you want more info, look on google for leopard gecko breeding.

Q:i think it would look better... any advice?: They're unfertilized. There is no point in trying to hatch them, there's nothing in it. Just like in the chicken eggs we eat.
