Q: Okay, i wanna make sure i did everything right. Okay so i got magic mushrooms spores (panama strain) and okay so i got the vermiculite, as directed, and brown rice flower, and put a bit of perlite. okay so once i made the mix i put it into 5 cups and injected the spores into the cup and put another layer of tin foil( so there's two layers of tin foil on it) okay, so after i did that i put a towel over it and put it in my closet a dark one, is there anything i need to do to make sure it grows, or just leave it? please tell me if i did anything wrong and this is just hypithectical, if i were to do this.
It needs to be fertilized by a male geco...if you havea make in their then possibly! On the bright side you know it's a female for sure. Yah if there is no male then there is no possible way it could hatch
Q: Can I put Eco earth for the substrate of the eggs
I kinda sounds like Quartzite
Q: can i use a 10 gallon tank soil/vermiculite and a heat lamp while misting tank every few hours to have a successful reptile egg incubator
yes and really all you should do is get wet sand that has been rung out through a strainer then put it in the tank use a paint brush or something like it and brush the sand around it but not on it then keep in warm with the heat lamp mist it at least twice a day.p.s. I seen a pro do this. he breeds snakes, rats, and I think other thing but I can't be sure.
Q: Im growing all kinds of stuff, not sure if certain soil differs.but is there some kind of soil that just stands out from the rest? Thanks.
My opinion is amended native soil. You can add compost, peat moss, chopped up leaves, and sand to your native soil. Since the roots of plants spread, and some go deeper than others, it is best to have them bedded in the native soil which has been amended for better growth. Don't forget to fertilize according to the plants needs and time.
Q: whats the difference between top soil and potting soil?
Top soil casn have weed seeds and potting mix doesnt
Q: Are expanded perlite and expanded vermiculite the same substance? What's the difference between them? What's the matter?
Their raw materials are different, but they are expanded by heating at high temperature. They are generally used in the roof insulation, gardening, soilless cultivation, etc., but now the amount of expanded perlite is relatively large.
Q: I have a pot of radish seeds to start in zone 10 and i‘ve read that peat moss was wonderful so I thought why not use all of it in the pot and get awesome radishes?. I thought it was the best idea, so I planted my seeds (and a baby tree) entirely in peat moss and added plant food (sea kelp). Was that a great idea?
The trouble with peat is that it runs water and gets hard as a rock when it drys. It is hard to keep a constant level of moisture in peat. Peat moss it also acidic. Using peat to loosen soil in a garden also adds organic matter to the soil. It doesn't clump because soil is in between the particles.
Q: Instead of sand, would vermiculite be okay for the bottom of my chimenea?
They do not have to be moist but do need to be humid i placed mine in a damp vermiculite ( the vermiculite should clump together an when squeezed), but water shouldn't drip out. You used use water to control the temparature also helps keep a steady humidity. The main benefit of this incubation method is it is cheap to set up - the whole thing cost around ?20, which, seeing as at that point I didn't know whether there would be any viable eggs to incubate, was a very good result!
Q: How can the new vermiculite be treated?
In addition, the expansion of vermiculite neutral partial alkali, and some products PH can even reach more than 8. If the oxylophytes, and other acidic medium such as peat and humus mixture, reduce the pH after use; or acid solution is neutralized, such as ferrous sulfate, organic acid solution spray soak.
