Q: Vermiculite has now been used for al least 10 years for light weight concrete blocks and slabs.Note in the text: Predicate (tense), noun-group.Thanks!

Q: also what time do bearded dragons lay eggs in the year
We use the type of styrofoam box in which fish are delivered to aquarium stores and place a thermostatically controlled heat mat at the bottom, with plastic dishes containing damp vermiculite (and the eggs) on a wire rack supported about a third of the way up the box (resting on a couple of half house-bricks!) The boxes we use are the size described here: www.aquamania .uk/product.asp?P. and we make a couple of air holes in the top, and another couple in the sides. We use a humidity sensor to ensure that the levels are appropriate for the type of eggs we're incubating (adding sponge-filled dishes of water will increase the humidity - while increasing number of vents will decrease it) and we also have a long glass thermometer pushed through the lid, with the bulb positioned to give a second visual monitor of the temperature at the same level as the eggs (the first being the temperature controller we use for the on-off control of the heat mat, as that has a digital display and alarm functionality.)
Q: Main applications of expanded vermiculite
Vermiculite is a product of many products of vermiculite vermiculite. He is non-metallic mineral products after the vermiculite ore after calcination processing. The proportion of its very light one side only 80-100 kilograms. It has good air permeability. Moisture and insulation. In vermiculite in the greenhouse, with osteoporosis the soil, good air permeability, water absorption ability, the characteristics of small changes in temperature, is conducive to the growth of crops, but also can reduce the amount of fertilizer.
Q: I have encountered several dust patches around my warehouse. They are right under holes in the cinder block wall. I didn't know what it was from until i put some holes in the wall and found that this brown dust was inside the blocks. My guess is some type of insulation. Can anyone tell me what this stuff is? Also this warehouse is part of a school. Is it harmful in any way to humans? Thanks for any help you can give me.
no wash it.vermiculite is a natural earth mineral
Q: Besides spores obviously.More along the lines of soil composition, climate and how exactly to plant them.
nutritious soil, you could even use manure and wood pulp mix, great for some kinds, but manure works great for pretty much all of them. climate? moist, warm, but not hot. I have never heard of a company that supplies spores, but if you do find one, basically spread them out on the soil, maybe cover them with a little bit of soil, just enough to protect them and get them out of the sun and excessive moisture like rain or puddled water, it literally dissolves mushrooms. a old shed should do, leave some buckets of water around to hydrate the air.
Q: i got him in december but for the past two days he hasnt been opening his eyes and he is alive. he moves around and stuff.
what substrate is he on? CWD's are extremely prone to eye infections from loose, particulate type, substrates. any type of soil, coconut husk/fiber, cypress mulch, rep-t-bark, and any other type of substrate that is comprised of individual particles poses a grave danger to a water dragon. both from ingesting it and becoming impacted, and for getting into their eyes and causing irritation and infection. these substrates should be avoided at all costs. if you are currently using any of these get rid of them immediately. slate tiles work great and look good, you can also use newspaper or paper towels, reptile carpet is a good option as well. if he continues to not open his eyes for a couple days, or if he does open them and you see that they look infected or otherwise unhealthy, you should take him to a vet. I think there are eyedrops you can buy at the pet store but you should always get an expert reptile vets opinion to make sure he doesn't need something stronger.
Q: The soil is heavy and I‘ve had to hand-pick rocks out of it. I plan to dig in a few handfuls per square inch of horticultural sand. I had read that manure would be too rich, so won‘t use that. But should I add some organic fertilizer like fish, bone or blood meal? I wish to plan right away.
I advise you to have the repair shop buy and install the parts. Then they give you a warranty on everything, parts and labor. If you give them the parts and there's a problem, they may say it's due to your parts having a problem and they won't warranty the complete job.
Q: HI, I've had an indoor vermiculture bin for the past year under my sink in my apt. The worms have done so well the past year, that they need a bigger home. I would like to move them outside out our 3rd floor patio, but I am worried about the extreme hot and cold and raining weather of Chicago. Is there a home I can buy, or create that would insulate against this?
It's probably fine -- just keep it moist. However, it has no nutrients in it, so you're essentially going to need to supply everything, including micronutrients. Also, because it's so light weight, plants with much upper growth, like tomato, will just tip over and pull out. Is there a particular reason you want to use just vermiculite? If you're going for soilless culture, I'd use straight sand before vermiculite.
Q: How much sunlight is best?
ive wondered that my whole life.
Q: What kind of soil should be used in planting stem cutting plants?
It somewhat depends on the variety of plant that you want to root cuttings from - some plants will root in water, though this will just cause rot in most. Generally, I keep some gritty sand, vermiculite and perlite, which I mix with good sterilised soil or potting compost - the ratio of the mix I vary, according to the plant. These ingredients increase the amount of air that's in the growing medium, as well as assist with drainage. Edit your question of you've got some specific plants that you want to propagate, and we can answer you more specifically. Don't use builders sand, but get all of these products from a garden nursery or products supplier. The reason for using sterilised products is to ensure that you don't introduce the chance for infections to set in - new cuttings go through a stress period, after being cut from the parent plant, and are somewhat more susceptible to infections. Some plants are tough as old boots, and it hardly matters, but I always like to improve my success rates, and prevent waste. Hope this helps. Good luck! Rob
