I was also in my high school's color guard and my piercing was smack with a rifle and it bled for an entire day, which was probably the worst injury my industrial ever received. It prolonged the healing but it didn't ruin anything. You'll always run a chance of bad damage with piercings and sports but if you take care of it, you'll be okay. And be careful! Good luck!
