- I'm surprised that a piercer did all of this...5 cartilage piercings and not even on the same ear? No rock salt. It needs to be non-iodized sea salt. Soak them twice a day for 5-10 minutes each soak with 1/4th of a teaspoon of non-iodized sea salt to 8oz of hot water. I usually double the mixture and put it into a clean bowl and just tilt my head to the side into the bowl to soak it. Ibuprofen for the swelling and soreness, ice for short periods of time throughout the day if you want. Don't change them until they're healed, don't touch them at all, try to sleep on your back or stomach, no swimming underwater or emerging them underwater until they are healed. Do all that and the soaks and you shouldn't deal with infection.

- If you only need the top to be 6' high, why not rent one? Go to a rental yard and rent a baker. It's 6' tall, and has holes in the frame every 6 or so. This allows you to build it on stairs. It's a safe alternative to building your own. Hope this helps.

- Q: i need a peircing in my right ear can i do scaffolding my self? whats the risks?
- I'm sure you probably could, but I wouldn't recommend it. These piercings tend to be a bit more costly, mine was like 55 dollars I think, but it's definately worth it. The thing with this piercing is that if you mess up the angles or if the alignment is even a little off, you're piercing won't heal and you'll just have to take it out anyway. It's an amazing piercing to have and good luck if you decide to do it yourself. :)

- These are pictures of bakers scaffolding..not recommended to staCK OVER TWO HIGH..i WONT DO THAT..FOR THEY ARE NARROW AND POTENTIAL FALLING FROM LEANING ANY DIRECTION INCREASES IMMENSELY WITH HEIGHT..USUALLY FOR INSIDE USE ONLY..NOT OUTSIDE APPLICATIONS..oops sorry for the capitols didnt realize it..
