Q:Hi guys!...ive had a scaffold piercing for a little over 2 weeks and when i got it done it bled quite alot...this obviously made some scabs...but every time i clean it the scabs come off and its starts bleeding again...and just before i posted this i found abit of puss like fluid round the back of it!I clean it twice a day and avoid touching it What have i done wrong :(Plus my mum is now like quot; i told you so quot; LolCheers :): Ear cartilage piercings generally take longer to heal than lobe piercings. This is often due to a combination of things, such as the location of the piercing in the cartilage, the type of jewellery used and the tension that jewellery creates to the structure of the cartilage. Using biocompatible plastics (like PTFE), cleaning cartilage regularly, and increasing your intake of minerals will certainly benefit your piercing; however a piercing will almost always be doomed to failure if improper jewellery and poor planning are used and left unmonitored.

Q:~ I was thinking about getting it done for my 16 birthday. BUT I wanted to know how bad does it hurt???And if I do get it done is it best that.... I go to a tattoo shop to get it??: Places like Claire's don't do those piercings, a tatto or piercing parlor would be the only place that does it. Check online and call in and read reviews before you go anywhere, they have been many places being shut down in USA and Canada for being unsanitary! So make sure your safe because it can perminatly break your cartilage if it's done wrong and you can get mney infections some being deadly and some that leave perminate scars. Make sure it's done safely, sanitary and with a needle. This piercing is more commonaly known as a industrial by the way. 1st of it hurts they all do. This was my most painful piercing ever. Got it done when I was 13, a month before I was 14. Think of it this way: 2 holes being stabbed into your ear connected by a bar. You bump on the other is automatically affected. I would definatly rate it 8.5/10. It was soberly painful. Hurts for a while and healing process is annoying as ever. Worth it for me in my opinion.

Q:The other day i woke up to clean it and there was dry blood in the bottom piercing (by ear lobe) on both sides. I think it's because I got it two days before I got a bath with it and then I was sleeping weird. So anyway, my sister says I should just leave the dry blood because it helps it stay in place and it will irritate it if you pick it off but should I? It hurts even after I soak It to try take the dried blood off.: Let the dry blood come off on its own. Using a sterile saline wound wash spray twice a day to keep it clean will help soften it up and it will come off within time. You can take baths but you really need to make sure your head never gets submerged under the water while your piercing is healing. Washing your hair under the faucet is fine but rinsing it in the water you're sitting in is not.
