Thanks.: should be fine. if its healed. never know what could happen if its not healed. but if you have had it for over a year and a half, you should be fine. because the tongue rings are pretty big, they could get bumped easier. which could lead to them being irritated and also hypertrophic scarring. if you just want the barbell look you can get really short barbells, that would diminish the possibility of all that. you can even get some pretty funky beads for the ends of em. he** you could put hoops in them or watever. oh, just a warning, unless they were pierced at a 14 g. which it would either be that or a 16g. most likely.then they might require a bit of stretching to get that 14gauge through, depending on the gauge it was pierced at. it will probably be kinda sore after that. but that should go away within a week or two. oh yea and if you can use the tongue rings ok, then you should be able to use the retainers :p good luck, hope it turns out gouda <3 :p
