Q: i got my scaffold piercing 6 days ago and the piercing was fine but the pain in the healing process is more painful.my ear is getting itchy but it doesn't hurt. it only hurts if i knock it by accident but that pain goes away quicklyi'm just checking that the itch is a healing sign and not an infection signTHANKKKKS :D: It's normal for ear piercings on cartilage to itchy. It's a effect of the healing process. They are also sensitive when you first get them pierced, unless it hurts all the time, even when you don't touch it, that could be a sign of infection. If that happens take it out and go see the person that pierced it. :-)

Q: Help.Saturday I want to get a snug piercing but apparently it really hurts I had my scaffolding(industrial) done about 4 months ago it hurt but not that much I was just wanted to know if any one knows if it really hurts I have had alot of piercings but I'm really worried about this one :/Just wanted to know if any1 has any ideas on pain or had both of them ??: A snug is nothing compared to an industrial, you'll be totally fine. Q: So today I decided to get both my tragus' done, a top cartlidge piercing and a scaffolding piercing in one sitting and now I'm in agony and the only aftercare I was given is a tiny bag of rock salt.... SALT!?Any ideas on how to get the swelling down / pain to go away and any tips on how to reduce the chance of getting them infected?: I'm surprised that a piercer did all of this...5 cartilage piercings and not even on the same ear? No rock salt. It needs to be non-iodized sea salt. Soak them twice a day for 5-10 minutes each soak with 1/4th of a teaspoon of non-iodized sea salt to 8oz of hot water. I usually double the mixture and put it into a clean bowl and just tilt my head to the side into the bowl to soak it. Ibuprofen for the swelling and soreness, ice for short periods of time throughout the day if you want. Don't change them until they're healed, don't touch them at all, try to sleep on your back or stomach, no swimming underwater or emerging them underwater until they are healed. Do all that and the soaks and you shouldn't deal with infection.

Q: I'm getting scaffolding put up round my house. Its a Normal size house and its being put up all round the four walls to the top. will it be put up in 2 hours or more? or less? Q: id like to know how painful it is, how long it takes to heal, how its done *all i know is that they use a needle* and any other information i need 2 know.: I got my scaffold pierced 4 days ago and I found it quite painful, but mostly because it's two piercings at once and not only is it thick cartilage, the second piercing will pull on the second one. It takes about 6 weeks to heal but to be safe you should wait over a month to change the bar. For mine they used a needle and a small cork, but it depends on the piercer. They pierced the part closest to my face first and pushed the needle through one side and into the tube on the other side. He put a cork on it so he could push the same needle through the second hole without the needle going straight through. He then did the normal method of hooking the jewelry onto the end of the needle and pushing it back through. That was painful too! He then screwed the balls on and cleaned up any blood and I was good to go! More information is that scaffold/industrial piercings are quite well-known to not be looked after properly so if you're thinking of getting it you need to make sure that you clean it every day with suitable solution and taking care not to knock it. :)
