FAQ
Is it best to go for a more powerful vacuum cleaner?
The power of a vacuum cleaner’s motor is measured in Watts. The higher the Wattage the better it will clean, as long as the machine is well designed with good air flow and suction power too. However, the higher the wattage, the noisier the machine will be. With upright vacuum cleaners. you don’t need to have so much wattage or suction power as you do with a cylinder cleaner as the dirt has less distance to travel before it reaches the bag or dust container. The type of brushes are more of an important consideration with uprights than the power. You don’t always want to have a vacuum cleaner operating at full power for example, when cleaning upholstery or curtains, so it’s useful to be able to adjust the power level yourself.
Which vacuum cleaner attachments should I look out for?
Most vacuum cleaners come with three attachments, a crevice tool, upholstery and dusting brushes and a small head which is best for vacuuming stairs. You can also get additional turbo brushes which have their own motor for extra suction which are useful for cleaning deep-pile carpets or a power cleaning head which has electrically powered rotating brushes. A hard-floor or parquet brush is useful for wooden or tiled floors. Some cleaners have extendable tubes which are useful for hard to reach areas like cobwebs in the corners of ceilings.
I have a large house and what vacuum cleaner should I look out for?
Look for a cleaner with a large cleaning head – this will help cut down the amount of time it takes to vacuum a room. Also get as long a lead as you can get to cut down on the number of times you have to unplug the lead and plug it in again. You may also want to consider getting a model with a large capacity dust collector or bag so that you don’t have to empty it as frequently. If you have a lot of stairs, you may want to get a cylinder model with a long stretchy stair-cleaning hose.
- Q: i forced her before will she hate me forever and never take bath
- give her a bath in the dutch oven with LOTS of cooking oil. She wont resist ;u)
- Q: I am looking to buy a vacuum cleaner, but I want a small and light one. However, I saw that it doesn't have a bag in it, and the other one has a bag but it look kinda big. Can someone please advise me any vacuum that is light, less dirty (maybe by using the bag), and cheap?
- Dyson is light and they have models that uses vacuum bags. They are not really cheap though. You can check out the site below for dyson vacuum cleaner reviews and information on other brands of vacuum cleaners. Hope this helps
- Q: i was wondering what kind of vacuum you have and if you like it or not...or if you know of any good ones with good suction for a good price.. thanks so much.
- Apparently, the Dysan ball upright is one of the best on the market. I haven't used one, but it gets really good reviews.
- Q: I want a vacuum cleaner that will pickup pet and human hair and not clog up. Which one of these would be the best?
- A better Bissell is the Healthy Home. It's got a suction technology very similar to Dyson but for 1/2 (or less) the price of a Dyson. HEPA filtration will help keep the dirt where it belongs and not back into the air. I recently bought a second one; and moved the unit that was downstairs to the upstairs. Old house, steep stairs and carrying a sweeper up and down the steps is just plainly a pain. The new one is just as powerful as the older one and hubby thinks it's a little quieter. It is lighter, a little bit. If you watch, you can get it on sale for around $170. Keep an eye at Lowe's; that's where I bought mine newest one. We have 3 dogs and 4 cats in the house so I know pet hair. We vacuum every other day most of the time and either Healthy Home unit has done a great job! I hated the sweeper we had upstairs and would have hubby carry the Bissell upstairs 90% of the time anyhow.
- Q: Ok i bought a decent hoover just before christmas and it has blown up the thing is last year i had 3 new vacumn hoovers whats wrong with me? What do i do wrong? I have to hoover 3 times a day due to have 3small children under 6 but its never bashed around i really am fed up. Anybody have any suggestions?
- The less expensive vacuum cleaners don't last. Unfortunately that's all I can afford. I'm constantly cleaning the vacuum rollers underneath. Hair, strings, etc.. get caught there. I use scissors a lot of pulling to clean it. I empty the bag often rinse the filter. I'm always buying new belts. I had a Sharp vacuum in the past that was a little more money, but worked real well. My in-laws have a Dyson (not sure on spelling.) They LOVE their vacuum! My mother in law said she finally has a vacuum that picks up everything, even cat hair! She has several cats, she goes on on about how great the vacuum is. It's not as expensive as a Rainbow. My suggestion would be save up for a Sharp or a Dyson. Personally I'm hoping to get a Dyson! Hope this helps!
- Q: quot; Our vacuum cleaners suck more than all of the others!:)
- Good one Gerry Man. What would they be called,The New Improved Mega Power Sucks (of course new and improved is always better, fo' sure)
- Q: . Why is the consideration of a black hole as a 'cosmic vacuum cleaner' so wrong?
- I suppose because black holes don't draw everything in the universe into them, therefore they're not cosmic vacuum cleaners. Even if our own sun suddenly became a black hole none of the planets would be sucked into it because it would still have the same mass as the former sun.
- Q: What Roomba Vacuum Cleaners do you recommend?
- does no longer recommend them. a chum had one- they do no longer %. up plenty. may be of use in case you have a huge room without corners (that is not any longer ordinary to software them for ordinary sizes) and not plenty furniture, yet once you have that difficulty how no longer ordinary is it to in basic terms run the vacuum?
- Q: I have looked virtually everywhere and I cannot find an easy, cheap way to clean my desktop computer's insides. I have come to the conclusion that:1. 'Canned air' is expensive and toxic2. Vacuum cleaners will use static electricity to destroy computers3. Blowing on the components will add moisture to them and destroy them. Will a bicycle pump work? Please, I am getting desperate.
- Here okorder / And just for the record, none of your three points are particularly accurate. Canned air can be expensive, but you can also get it dirt cheap if you look in the right places. It is only dangerous if you shoot it directly into your mouth (as the propellant replaces the oxygen if your lungs and you die). I've never even heard of a problem with vacuums generating static, and most tech kits include a small vacuum. And I've never seen document proof of moisture from breath destroying any computer component. Just make sure you power the system down before doing anything, and don't spit on it, and you should be fine.
- Q: Is it better to use vacuum cleaners from simple broom-dustpan for street cleaning? Do we save enough energy, money, is it good for ecology? Is it promote sustainable development?
- Finding people doing the broom-dustpan is difficult hence the vacs.
