- when answering these questions it's important to remember this relationship: E = h X nu, where nu is the frequency of the light since the speed of light is c (a constant) we can relate the wavelength of light to the frequency through the speed of light lambda (wavelength) = c / nu also, let's think about the EM spectrum, it goes from highest to lowest energy: gamma, x-ray, UV, Vis, IR, micro, radio that means that blue light is the highest energy visible light, and red light is the lowest energy visible light. So, since the rainbow goes from purple to blue, green, yellow, orange, finally to red, then green light is of higher energy - and from the equation above we know that the frequency of the light is directly related to energy - so the higher the energy of that light, the higher the frequency. That means green has a higher frequency than yellow. X-rays have much higher frequencies that microwaves. And all light travels at the same speed - c :)
- Q: Alright, so earlier this year I bought a set of photography lighting right.. And they are great. But you know how photography lights light kinda white-ish and normal lights (in my opinion) light orangey-ish???? Please tell me you get what I mean.. - You can get just about any shade you want out of lights... either by changing bulbs or adding filters (called gels) to the light. walmart is not a real photo store... you probably have incandescent bulbs in the wally world set. If you put the same bulbs in all your lights, you won't have this problem. Mixed light sources (such as florescent mixed with incandescent) are the worst way to do things, and the hardest to fix. By using the same bulbs in all your lights, you can set your camera white balance and forget it.

It's traveling at the speed of light, relative to you, because light always travels at the speed of light. :) Further examining this phenomenon demands that something's got to give, either light is violating its own rule, or something funky is going on. Something funky is going on, this is why the theory of relativity is important to understand, that one's frame of reference is not the absolute one. In fact, their is no absolute master frame of reference. Time either dilates, or the difference in measurements must be accounted for by measuring proper length, not actual length. This is why the twins paradox works. Let's say you have two twins, one travels at the speed of light to Alpha Centauri, and 10 years later, comes back. His twin brother will be long gone, and much older than he was. Because the observance of the passage of time will have changed relative to both twins while the one was traveling at the speed of light.

- I may be totally off with this but infinity reminded me of a type of decorative light fixture which was more artsy than a viable light source. The structure was basically a shadow box perhaps 3 inches deep, and in this case it may have been square. At the back of the box was a mirror that fit entirely. Around the inside of the box were what may have been white christmas lights, and the face was glass covered. As I recall the entire structure was painted black. As I'm thinking this however there must have been other mirrors, unless the back of the clear glass front was refelctive to the inside, because what one could see was a series of these lights in a vanishing perspective way. - Room light is enough for your fish and shrimp unless you are growing live plants in their tank. LED lights would also be fine.

- For the best answers, search on this site Nothing solid is a perfect absorber or perfectly transparent, so yes anything solid reflects light. The reason you can see your hand, or a dark colored thing, or an uneven surface, is that it reflects light toward your eyes. You could theoretically see a dark colored thing by contrast, by noticing an area that's darker than the surroundings, without it having to reflect any light. But in practice even dark colored things reflect some light.
