- Q: Hey, im looking for a new board to get, i want something that is pretty light since im wanna get a light setup. I wanna get a zero, but ive heard from people that their heavey and from some people there super light. Any tips or opinions?
- zero's are excellent decks but not the lightest out there. They have a mild concave which is great for learning on and probably the most durable. Lots of people will tell you they arelight because if they're a good skater they don't need a light deck. If you want a nice light deck I recommend a resin 7 deck either from almost, blind, enjoi or darkstar. They're light and very strong nd thats 4 different brands you can choose from all of them very good brands, or go for another hi-tech style deck like the darkstar armorlight, element push, or a fiberlame deck.

- As stated, the larger the light to the subject the softer the light.. Think about a cloudy day V a sunny day. The sun is the same each day and the clouds make up the diffuser. So, if you think about how to make a larger light it becomes a craft project. With digi cameras setting the iso to a larger number will help as the light will be less from the light source due to the need to light the larger diffusion. This is where the powerful studio flashes come into play.

- They're pretty self explanatory. Side lighting is from either side. If you want full exposure, you'll put it on both side, and it will create cross shadows. Bottom lighting isn't really used frequently, but it's generally used from a distance, if anything. It creates a deeper shadow behind someone or in front of them, depending on where they place it. Front lighting is used primarily for exposing the features of whatever it is that it's highlighting. It creates better highlights and deeper back shadows. You should also look into Key and Fill lighting as well. Key is the primary source of lighting. It's the main light used for lighting the object. Fill does just that. It fills in whatever shadows aren't needed and is sometimes hard to place. Hope that helps!

- You head light switch may be bad. When you say hold in, do you mean flash to pass. Hear light are double wired. One wire for bright, din and one for flash to pass. If that is what you are having to do, ckeck the head ligth switch, dinner switch, and fuse or circuit breaker. I have had the pass thrugh connector on the firewall go bad, but i do not think this is it this time.
