- Q: I just posted a question on here a few minutes ago about a problem with my rectum (i bleed a little bit but no pain) when I go to the bathroom that has only been going on for a few days and I heard that one of the reasons this happens is because I don't have enough fiber or water in my bodyI admit I do not very often eat fruits and I tend to eat a lot a fatty foods, however I am not heavy at allI am 14I have a feeling this isn't that big of a problem and it's just because of the foods I'm eating, but can someone help me out here? Do I need more fiber because of this? Is this bad?
- The best insulation is a closed cell insulation that is stable, EPS, (Expanded Poly Styrene) also you could research Icenene, for batt type insulation I prefer Roxul brand for its many qualities, for new construction research SIPS ( stuctural insulated panels) Blown wool type for ceilings seems to be the most effective for the dollarbut I still like closed cell, check out the Polysteel websiteI am also a fan of EIFS ( Exterior Insulation Finishing System) using Durock Rain Screen System, the insulation has a formed water channel system on the underside to channel condensation to exterior and promote evaporation of same, but like most products the manufacturers guidelines MUST BE FOLLOWED Best of luck!!
- Q: I have a cabin in central Missouri that has 20' of exposed 3/4quot; copper lineWe will only visit the cabin a few times in winter for a few days and when not there all lines are drained and winterizedI'm debating whether to use a heat tape with the black insulation OR just the black insulation with R19 wrapped around that and run water through the line every few hours warm the pipe back up to well/ground tempsAnyone have thoughts on this?
- mmaybe it wasn't his house!!!!
- Q: Hey folks, I'm thinking about buying my mom a membership to Yarn of the Month and was wondering how much a quot;samplequot; of yarn actually isThey say each sample is a 4quot; by 4quot; swatchHow much is that? I know nothing about knitting, so is that enough to make a basic dishcloth? Thanks!
- No, it's not enough to actually make anythingA small dishcloth would take twice that much yarnThey look like mostly novelty yarns which would not be appropriate for dishcloths eitherWhat I would recommend instead is getting her a gift certificate at her local yarn shopKnitters tend to be passionately opinionated about yarnFor example: I love natural fibers and hate acrylicI like certain colors and color combinationsAnd above all, I want to touch the yarn and see how it feels against my skin before I commit to itWith a gift certificate she can get exactly what she likes and make a project or projects she really enjoysSometimes a gift certificate is a loser gift from someone who didn't care enough to actually choose somethingFor the passionate knitter, the opposite is trueA gift certificate says the giver recognizes that knitting is an art and that selection of the materials and tools is as individual as the artistNow, if she's already a regular at the LYS, they may know herAt my local shop the manager knows her customers and can tell you exactly what to purchase as a gift for that customer from the fiber content and yarn weight right down to the color wayBut she still recommends gift certificates.
- Q: Need to get my fiber up.any food or drink suggestions?
- Luckily, many foods are a good source of fiberMany fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, snack bars, and cereals can help you meet your daily fiber recommendationsJust remember that as you fiber up, get plenty of water as well.

- Q: What are some high fiber vegetables?
- Take the blankets off so they can dry before it gets too coldGive them a little food to raise their body temperatureIf you notice they are shivering and are still wet then blow dry them a bit until they are more dryOnce they are dry they should be okay in the colder weather.

- Q: It is a ranch style brick home build on a slab of concrete (no basement).our home was built in the 50sWe have about zero insulation in the walls and doing so would cost to much money as we would have to gut the inside of our home (we've looked into it)The best we can do is insulate our attic again, which we are doing soonYet, I believe our home will still be coldOur windows are new except for 3 of them, and they have all been sealed and we put plastic over them in the winter to keep air out/inThe floors are quite literally concrete, then some laminate stuff, then the padding/carpetDoes anyone have any ideas as to how else we can more effectively keep heat in our home? How can we heat our floors? ANY ideas are welcomed greatly!!
- Heating your floors would cost a lot of moneyHave you looked into a company taht does spray in insulation? Thy can drill small holes every 12 inches and spray an expanding foam in thereI don't know what it costs but with the building industry in a huge slow down, you might be able to get it done at a decent price
- Q: Tampon or cup? I am 18 and getting tired of pads, and the only other alternatives I have found is either tampon or cup, unless there are more alternativesSo, for a virgin and a beginner, which one should I use? Tell me the pros and cons of each.
- There's no real alternatives if those Instead things didn't workBut O.btampons used to be just the tampon, without the applicatorSome women say that's less painfulTampons sometimes hurt me when I have cramps or a lot of bloatingCan you try it after taking an Advil or something? Because you really need something internal if you're going to swimDon't get frustrated, and go gently.
