- Sounds like you have asked a lot of good questions. Padding under carpet is even more important than the carpet itself. Whether you are buying the lower, middle or top end carpet, you should always buy the most expensive padding. It will make all the difference in the feel of the carpet as well as how it wears. And it is not that expensive. Hardwoods these days should be the pre-done floors that Bruce and all hardwood companies have been doing for years. Because they are cut and polyurethaned in house they are stronger and more durable than floors that are raw cut, laid, and only a couple of coats of poly done. When your contractor lays hardwood floors, they also lay the wood moldings.
- Q:when every i take my cover off my horse it lets of static electric zaps. (you know like if you shuffle along the floor then tap some one and it lets of this zap) but its not small zaps they are very loud, you can hear them crackle from meters away if you move the cover, but they are also EXTREMELY painful!! - Wash it with a few dryer sheets. And wipe your horse down with dryer sheets too. It's not like there's something wrong with it, it's normal for that too happen. You just have to figure out how to deal with it.
- Q:can anyone offer some advice on how to get wood stain out of california berber carpet?
- EASY, take tissue and tape it down over the effected area. Hate to tell you but the more you try to get it out the more you will spread it. After taping on affectected area cut a rectangal piece if you have the same carpet in any closet. Then take that piece, cut around it at a corner of the closet and switch them out. Glue down each and weight down. Is the way the proffesionals do it if not to big. Berber is perfect for this type of thing. Just use enough glue and maybe even glue the sides on the bottom of the pieces so they do not ravel.

- I just Googled Ashley area rug and noticed that they are made from nylon, one of the points being easy to clean. Can you ask the manufacturer or place you bought it? I'd try just straight white vinegar sponged on and then blotted. I'd then elevate or hang the rug so both sides can air until completely dry. Get a squirt bottle and use it keep the cat off the rug.
