- Q:Please give a scripted answer. Funniest Denny Crane comment and action gets the 10 points
- Denny Crane. Now bring in the hookers. Did I mention I made Paula all she is..., was that just that I made Paula. Denny Crane Don't make me shoot you.
- Q:What are equations /formulas that use to calculate maximum vertical load values, the maximum length of boom?
- Hello, Briefly, the structure of the crane or lifting mechanism is not usually the limiting case. The limiting case is to ensure that the Center of Gravity of the mobile crane with the load is such that it is bound within the tires or footprint of the crane. If this load is outside the footprint, the crane tips over.
- Q:Could bird cranes resemble angels in appearence?
- You are free to visualize objects however you wish, lol. It takes creativity, but ANYTHING could look like an angel if you try to look at it that way hard enough.
- Q:Since now everyone will know what's coming when you get in the crane kick position, and the element of surprise is gone, has the crane kick become an extinct move? Do martial arts experts not like the Karate Kid for ruining the crane kick in the way magicians don't like other magicians who reveal their secrets?
- Very few people have any idea whatsoever how the crane kick is applied. It is no way portrayed accurately in the movie. Anyone in the world with any modicum of common sense should be able to figure out intuitively you don't just stand on one leg and wait for some one to get close enough to hit. The crane kick has several applications and they are all in motion during specific sets of circumstances. I see no reason to start educating the world on how crane kicks are actually applied. If you want to learn go find a White Crane style instructor.
- Q:I read on wikipedia that in recent years, it has become less popular, but they do not mention why. I understand the philosophy of the art and it seems like Machida and Anderson Silva use similar styles. These are 2 of the best fighters in MMA. Can anyone shed some light on this?
- I can't comment on the people you mentioned. What I can say is that White Crane is a good style. BUT, it was never as popular as arts like Goju-ryu, Shotokan, Shito-ryu, and many others. It is curious that Wikipedia would say something like the style is less popular. But then I have always taken what I see on the internet with a grain of salt. Anyone can post any thing they want on the net. That does not make it true.
- Q:i live in cali and these things are really starting to piss me off!!!!!!! I never noticed any before ( when i lived in colorado) but it seems lately that they are all over!!!! every time i open my damn door AT LEAST 5 of them come in! THERE SO GROSS with there big hanging legs! EWWWWW! Anyways, when will they go away and what do i do to keep them from getting in my house?
- The crane fly season only last for a month or so. There are years when they can reach almost plague proportions but within another 2-3 years their numbers should return to normal.. They can cause some damage to farm crops but the good news is that they are harmless to us.
- Q:could someone give me a good summary on the red badge of courage, and yes i did read the book and i have trouble understanding, and help would be good thanks!!
- A kid, full of beans, runs off to join the army to annoy his mum, but on the eve of battle suddenly becomes paranoid that he'll do something to disgrace himself through cowardice. (That's actually as far as I got in the book so far.) I am given to understand, though, that in his own mind at least he does disgrace himself and endeavours for the rest of the book to redeem his manliness. In that sense the story arc, or at least the character arc, is not dissimilar to The Four Feathers. The point of the story is to counterpoint the myths of warrior gung-ho and daring-do, and to analyse the inner anxieties and motivations of the individual, volunteer-citizen soldier, and by extension the expectations of society. The novel also presents the battlefield with an unprecedented realism; that is to say, Crane presents the actual fog of war that authors have always set out to clear.
- Q:I was wondering if this is possible. The wall we have designed is very close to an existing retaining wall. In order to properly form and waterproof the wall we would have to demo that existing retaining wall. My idea was to build it off site, waterproof it, and then crane it into its location. Is this possible? any similar methods? thanks
- If you use precast concrete sections it can be done. You can even have a decorative side if that is required. You might need to have some form of interlocking connections to tie the whole thing together. Depending on its height there might also be a need for anchors to keep it from trying to tip. Without more very detailed information it is difficult to really answer this question. As an example: depending on the type of soil and the height of the wall it is possible to remove the existing wall and install a new one in a day if you use something like a keystone system.
