- That is a good answer. Ordinary cranes build the steel frame to a height of perhaps 60 feet. The frame is designed so a specially designed crane can climb up the side (like climbing a ladder) to about 50 feet where the climbing crane can complete the frame to about 100 feet, then the crane can climb to the 90 foot level and build the frame to about 150 feet etc. Another method is the floor at about the 60 foot level is completed and extra strong. A crane is assembled on that floor and can complete the steel frame to about 100 feet where another extra strong floor is built. The crane at 60 feet is then dismantled and moved to the floor at the 100 foot level, or perhaps this is a second crane. Repeat until the full height of the building is frame work. As cranes are removed at the lower levels, more floors can be installed and some of the finishing work done. Either way, you can see why very tall buildings are very expensive. - Preach is son! I know in my case I ask if something looks good on me or if I look good because half the time I can't tell if something looks hideous on me or not. I always used to get picked on when I was younger as well because i grew up in an area where everybody was blonde haired and blue eyed, and I'm italian with extremely dark features so I stuck out! The popular girls tore me apart and I coudln't STAND to look at myself in the mirror. Yuck, dark, dark times. But then again, those girls were just trying to make themselves more secure, and they're the kinds of people fishing for compliments. heh.

The half-finished building that it stands next to is not being worked on and there's never anyone using the crane during the day. There's no other construction going on in the area is stands at.It's pretty high up like 6th to 7th floot and it's in a windy town. Does that matter?Why would someone turn around a crane during the night? Is it all a scheme to make me paronoid because they know I'm starring out the window most of the day?
