FAQ

Q: What is the difference between CNBM and CMAX?

A: CNBM stands for China National Building Materials (Group) Corporation, which is established in 1984, is the largest state-owned group corporation of building material & machinery with a total asset of 15 billion USD and a staff of 100000.

CMAX is the brand name of CNBM Group’s construction products, C stands for China and Max stands for Maximum.

Q: What is the principal to quote the right tower crane to the client?

A: First, we need to know clients’ requirements. Normally the following information should be clarified by the client: max lifting capacity, height (height under hook), tip load and jib length.

Second, we need to know what the foundation requirement from the client is. (Fixed/undercarriage/ undercarriage with traveling system), mast section type (panel/integrated), power supply source (voltage, ampere and frequency), the distance between the machine and power supply……

Third if there are special needs, CNBM could suggest proposal according to clear data provided by the clients. End-user, as construction machinery buyer, knows the site situation well and should make decision, such as the machinery specification, type…….

Q: What about our tower crane's warranty?

A: Usually there is one-year quality warranty including main electronic parts (not including consumable parts). There are consumable spare parts together with whole machine and normally they are enough for one year.

Q: What is 3 main mechanism of the tower crane?

A: there are trolleying mechanism/ slewing mechanism/ hoisting mechanism.

Q: Can you equip with light on tower crane jib, monitor, remote control and anemometer?

A: Sure. All of these could be provided with extra cost upon the clients’ requirements. But according to general practice, remote control is not suggested because most of the operator feedback operation in the cabin will provide a wide working view.

No overloading or violation of the operating procedures.2.25 multi machine operation, should avoid two or more than two tower cranes overlap in the radius of rotation. Special circumstances, need to overlap operations, must be safe distance between the vertical arm to ensure the safe distance and the lifting of materials, and have reliable safety measures approved by the competent technical leadership before construction.2.26 jib cranes in heavy lifting off the ground after lifting, rotating and walking three actions can be done at the same time, but the amplitude only alone, strictly with variable load. A crane that allows variable amplitude loading shall not vary at full load or near full load.2.27 lifting hoist is not installed in the rotating part of the crane, lifting operations may not continue in one direction continuous rotation.2.28 a crane with a mechanical torque limiter must adjust the tonnage indicator of the overload limit device according to the radius of gyration and the rated load at that radius.2.29 bend rail subgrade must comply with the provisions of the crane should turn on the outer rail surface of the sand, rail, rail and wings painted with grease. Q: Is Fireplace Crane a modern term for the swing-out metal arms that hang over a fireplace for cooking? e.g. like in dutch ovens or pots/cauldrons that hang over a fire.It sounds like a more modern term and I need to know if there is an older term. Thanks.
I can't think of older terms at the moment, but definitely 'fireplace crane' sounds modern, and possibly American, to me. In Britain I have never heard the term, not in any historical or modern setting. My idea of a crane is a big item at a dockside or on a big building site. A domestic hearth or kitchen is too nice a place to have a 'crane'!
Q: Is it to do with visibility? What are some other colours of cranes?
Here is NZ they are normally yellow
Q: death... by exile! Also, which Batman movie was your favorite and why?Mine was the first because it was cool to see how Wayne started and got all the Batman stuff and the movie was less confusing, haha. Plus I thought the actor Cillian played Scarecrow really great :)
Yes, that was such a nice surprise. He was a great villain in Batman Begins. For a split second, I was like Wait a minute - the last time I saw Dr. Crane, he was freaking out on that Toxin they released into The Narrows. . ., but then, I remembered - he and everyone else affected by that poison were given the antidote after it was produced by Wayne Enterprises. His role as the judge at the sort of Reign Of Terror style court system is perfect - Crane clearly enjoyed watching people suffer mentally, liked seeing them terrified. Sadistic little twerp. Tough call on favorite.. . while I think the first two thirds of The Dark Knight are probably the very best of the series. . . my personal fave is Batman Begins, too. I can remember the first time I saw it, and as they're showing the establishment shot of those mountains in Asia, Raz Al-Ghul's lair. . . I kept thinking, this is different than any other Batman stuff I've seen - this is cool! Kinda sad it's over! :( Edit - And I just wanted to add - I've used that line Bruce's dad says with my own little son: Why do we fall? :)
Q: what is the crane track base ?
Assuming mechanical I suppose that is the size of the area of the two tracks on a crawler type crane. The tracks or treads are similar to those on a tank or bulldozer. One track covers a rectangle in contact with the ground. Both tracks are spread apart, parallel and form some kind of rectangular (length x width) base area for the crane.
Q: The really really tall ones you see next to skyscrapers. How do they assemble them? I thought that maybe they use another crane, but then how did they assemble that crane? Some of them are really, really tall. Try to remember what one looks like. They have long hollow necks with a top section where the driver sits that stretches long horizontally.

Q: I'm 17 and I was planning on reading it for class, do you think it will be easy to read?
Stephen Crane, Maggie is fantastic! I read it in school when I was 14 so I have no doubt you will have no problems in reading it. Maggie is the tale of an inevitable fall from grace on the part of a young, innocent girl trapped in the vicious world of New York City's slums. Yearning for acceptance and love, beaten at home by alcoholic parents, Maggie sets out with Pete, a local bartender whose cultured mannerisms elicit great respect from the impressionable young girl. However, when Pete spurns her for another, Maggie is ejected out onto the street, forced into prostitution to make a living. We last see her moving off, a huge, oily fat man in tow, for a darkened corner in the city's seedy underworld. If Upton Sinclair's The Jungle is a torrent of social anger and protest, Crane's Maggie is like a brilliant lightning strike, flashing across our vision and leaving us temporarily blinded. The book--scarcely 70 pages--is succint, brutish, and merciless. Crane allows his readers to form their own opinions regarding the characters. His innovative use of near-phonetic spelling to depict in the reader's ear the local dialect of New York's rough neighborhoods was shocking and difficult to comprehend when the book was first released. It lends Maggie an air of earthy legitimacy. Ultimately, Maggie is a cry for the plight of poor children--the souls we overlook with a callous unease mirrored in Pete's offhand, uncaring rejection of young Maggie's genuine love and affection. It is, without qualification, Stephen Crane's greatest and most moving achievement.
Q: The crane was commissioned in the plant some 15 yrs back. The cranes is being used for lifting hot metal (iron) from furnace to Pig casting machine since commissioning. Regular maintenance is being done on the same.
Maybe. Your best bet is to consult the crane manufacturer to see what upgrades are needed. There are a variety of crane engineering firms that can also evaluate the crane and suggest any needed changes. I would get several quotes before deciding.
Q: What are the differences between the tower crane and the lift?
they are nothing alike
