- Q: I have a two year old laptop. Being that it is white, it gets dirty very easily. Recently I have been bothered by how nasty the little areas beneath the keys on the keyboard probably are. How can I clean my keyboard at home without taking the keys off? Do any of those keyboard vacuums work, and if so, which ones? I know about the compressed air you can buy and whatnot, but wouldn't that just push the dirt around beneath the keys, not get rid of it?
- I use a qtip with a little rubbing alcohal (not too wet) on it to go between the keys.

- I don't think there are ones that hook up to an already existing keyboard, but some come with knobs on them that create whammy-bar effects.

- Any keyboard/mouse combo should work just fine. The only time you will need to install the software that comes with it should be if it has specialized oprerations like controlling media player or other special buttons.
- Q: i was going to take the keyboard off my dads old computer but the motherboard i have doesnt have the slot for it to plugin SOOO i need a keyboard. so which keyboard should i get? if its a gaming keyboard that would be best as it is a gaming computer, but it doesnt have to be, just high quality. i kind of have a 900 budget and im REALLY pushing that budget, so it needs to be cheap. it comes down to a high quality, cheap keyboard. and guys i dont need some fancy keyboard, if it will type, it will do the job!
- I suggest a mechanical keyboard. Mechanical keyboards are really nice to type on and amazing for gaming. Going from a membrane (the cheap, common keyboards) to a mechanical keyboard is night and day. Check out the guide in the sources to learn more.
- Q: I opened my keyboard to clean it. It's an old keyboard. Anyway there was a black cord inside next separated from the circuit cord where the colored cords are connected. When I opened the keyboard it was on top the circuit board. Now I'm not sure where it goes and my keyboard isn't working. Microsoft Coperation model K290. It's an old keyboard
- keyboards are cheap and readily available, so not worth bothering with. If it was that old that it needed cleaning, then it was dure for replacement anyway.

- Using a bluetooth keyboard on the iPad is easy. The iPad’s on-screen keyboard works fine but if you are going to do a lot of typing a physical keyboard may be more convenient. If you already have a bluetooth keyboard I recommend that you try it with your ipad. Here is how to get the iPad to recognize your keyboard. 1. Go to settings, general, bluetooth and turn on bluetooth. The iPad will start searching for bluetooth devices. 2. Hold the power button on the keyboard for 5 to 10 seconds or until it shows up. 3. Select the keyboard on the iPad. 4. A pop up will be displayed with a pin number. 5. Type the pin number on the keyboard and hit enter. It should indicate that your keyboard is connected, now you can use your bluetooth keyboard. When you need to type the on-screen keyboard will not be displayed, which is good since you don’t need it.

- wow. i wouldn't even know where to begin here. synthesis can be such an amazingly complex thing. i'd be 100% offended if anyone ever called one of my synths just a keyboard eff'n yamaha casio bull. just. wow.
- Q: I was using my keyboard then suddenly it stopped working. At first I thought it was the batteries so I changed to fresh batteries, didn't work. Next I thoguht it was the port, so i took my spare keyboard and plugged it in the same port, the port works fine. So I know it is something with the keyboard now. Does anyone have ideas that could fix it.
- You should find a button on the receiver and a small button under the keyboard. Press the one on the receiver first then the one on the KB. Ths should re-assocate them.
