- Q: *In advance: I apologize if the question is confusing*Is it possible to use a different keyboard type on an existing keyboard, like installing another program for another keyboard and that over-riding the current, different keyboard, could I do that without disabling the keyboard completely?Or is it more efficient to use a different keyboard that connects by USB instead- do they come with a program for the keyboard? If so, would that program change my computer's keyboard settings (I hope)?

- Q: for a few months now my keyboard will not turn on when i turn my conputer on. (its a desktop). I have bought 2 keyboards, but the keyboard is not the problem. I have to shut my computer down and restart for the keyboard to come on. sometimes that doesn't work. do you know what is causing this. also, i tried a new computer that someone rebuilt for me, it does the same thing
- ohk it may not be the keyboard itself but the connection in the cable coming from the keyboard, it could be a faulty wire which sometimes works depending on how the cord is placed, but it also could be the connection in the back of the computer, you could simply have bad port connections. If neither of those work check to see if your Hardware drivers are up-to-date for those keyboards, because there may be an update that you haven't used. and are the keyboards the same make and model or two different ones? - Q: HiiWhen i start the computer the keyboard doesn't get detected in the bios it says keyboard was not detectedpress f1 to continue (i cant press f1 obviously)so the keyboard starts to work only after the windows loading screen but before it it doesn't so i cant re-install xp as i need to hit anykey to boot the cd which the keyboard ain't working. I was thinking if i clear the cmos would the bios pick the keyboard because if i do i need to to hit f1 after i turn computer on and load defualt cmos setting but if the keyboard doesn't work ill be STUCK. - Q: i got a new wireless mouse and keyboard and i installed it and everything after a month later thed mouse broke for some reason and now i want to you my old mouse and keyboard which came with my computer and when i plug my old mouse and keyboard in it wont work, i even took the usb plug out so the wireless mouse and keyboard wont work and i plugged in the old one and it still wont work.

- Yeah shut the computer down. Get a hair dryer, put it on low heat blow the keyboard dry with it. Or just shut it down wait a good while till it's dry. You may have a keyboard program in accessibility or accessory programs. But I'd recommend not using just shutting down drying. Unless someone is gonna die if you don't type whatever it is.
- Q: I have a Pavilion a1019h comp. and the keyboard is broke. The keyboard is not included with warranty. Can anyone tell me what keyboard is included with that model? My comp. came with the hpvs15 monitor, but I threw the keyboard away before I could get the model number. If possible, I would like the same keyboard.
