- How much it hurts depends on your pain tolerance...it's different for everyone. I didn't find mine to be that unbearable. The top (second) hole hurt more than the first but aside from that it was just a bit sore while healing just like all cartilage piercings. If you get it done by a reputable piercer and take care of it properly it shouldn't get infected.
