Q: I don't get the phone upgrade on t-mobile. How much does an upgraded phone cost for a family plan (just upgrading 1 phone) and how long do you have to have your phone to upgrade it?Please help with those questions and more T-Mobile phone upgrading info as possible. Thanks!
how long is yr contract ?i called customer service and was informed 11 months for 1 yr/22 months for 2yr contract.since i had just purchased mine and really didn't wat to upgrade and pay that much for a phone.
Q: Hi, I've got a work mobile phone and a home mobile phone. This means that I have to carry around two handsets with me at all times and it's starting to get on my nerves. Is there any way for me to put two SIM cards into one phone?
Yes, provided that the sim cards are from the same carrier as the handset, or that the handset is unlocked. However, you cannot use both SIM cards at the same time. There is an adapter I used to see around on OKorder that will allow you to put in two SIMs at once, but still you would have to select in a menu on the phone which phone number you wanted to use at any time. You could not use both phone numbers at the same time. What I'd do is I'd use call forwarding on one of my mobiles to forward all the calls to the other mobile. I do that with my work phone often so no matter whether they ring my work number or my personal mobile, they all go to the same place.
Q: 1) what does it involve?2) do you have to pay?3)do you keep your tariff?4) can you pick any phone or is there a selection to chose from?5) can you upgrade to a different network? On t-mobile uk thanks
1) Upgrading to a different phone 2) Well you change contract do depends if you have to buy the phone 3) you get a new one I think but keep your number 4) Well when you upgrade you have to get a phone that is more expensive that your current phone 5) no you have to upgrade through your network, if you're with t-mobile I think you can upgrade to EE, but if you want to go to like 3 or something you'll have to wait until your contract ends and cancel it, and get a new one with 3 for example.
Q: How does a mobile come to know that which operator is meant for it. What exactly happens and how a mobile phone attach to the network. How it is different if the mobile is in roaming area?
A cell phone network is made up of the cell phones themselves, base stations, and the mobile switching center (MSC) hardware which does call routing, etc. The base stations (cell towers) are always broadcasting out control signals that contain a System ID (SID) and how it expects cell phones to identify themselves. When you power up a cell phone, it hears this and registers with the nearest base station and your cell phone sends its Mobile ID Number. This Mobile ID Number is more than just your cell phone number, it also contains its own system ID (SID) number, and it also contains the ESN, Electronic Serial Number that identifies that specific phone. If the base station's SID and cell phone's SID match, then the phone is on its home network. If not, then you are roaming and connect to another provider's network, usually for additional charges. Your phone usually can hear multiple cell towers but connects to the one that has the best signal (signal to noise ratio). After your phone is registered, your cell phone number plus ESN are forwarded to the MSC, which sends this to a home location register or HLR. If it turns out you're not on your home provider's network, it goes to a VLR, Visiting Location Register. This way the cellular network always knows where you are, that is, which cell you're in (what cell tower) so calls can be router to/from your cell phone.
Q: im am in this plan thing at a mobileshop where i keep a mobilephone for like 4 years and then i can upgrade to a similarly priced phone for free, any way i brought a nokia n95 (at about $800 - $900) (i can also put money towards it as well when upgrading) and i was wondering what mobile phone i should get, i was thinking of either an iphone 4 or a htc 7
HTC HD7 Windows Phone (T-Mobile) - The phone is incredibly quick booting. - The UI is beautiful and so smooth to use in comparison to other smartphones. - The build quality is solid and it feels like a good phone in your hand with the metal surround instead of cheap plastic. - The apps already on the store are of good quality and run very well on the phone, expecting a load more on the US release. - Skydrive integration with the Office Hub and your photo's is very useful allowing super quick upload to the cloud. - The one touch camera launch from the lock screen is very handy the flash is super bright with double LED. --------------------------------------
Q: a friend of mine said he called t mobile and simply talked them into sending him a free phone. he says they care more about u cutting off the service than the products themselves. is this true? if so what would u say? serious replies only - i'm sick of the t mobile mda
it was really free? i doubt that.
Q: a friend from school is going to give me her phone (lg rumour) there is no phone number on it and she hasn't used it since the summer time. for me to activate it, do i just go to a virgin mobile store and say that i want to activate the phone?i also want to get unlimited texting on the phone aswell. (its a prepaid phone) how do i go through with this. plus, anything else that i should know?
If the phone is inactive right now, you can go into a Virgin Mobile store and ask to activate it. Except since it has no phone number, that might be kinda hard. For unlimited texting, I have a $25 plan that gives 300 minutes, and unlimited texting and web. While you're at the store, they can probably start you on that plan. Or you can go into your messaging settings under Balance Usage and change it from there.
Q: details about various brands of mobile phone and its uses
Goto okorder
Q: What is the mobile phone OTG function?
You can connect external storage devices via USB, or keyboard and mouse, or more external devices. Usually small equipment by the power limit can only be connected to the u disk like the consumption of smaller power equipment.
Q: I'm buying a 2009 Ford Fusion SE with Sync. Does it support Virgin Mobile phones? I have no way of testing before I buy the car.
That's wrong
