- Plus side, anyone can get hold of you at any time Down side, anyone can get hold of you at any time Depending on how you use it, they're great If you don't want to be interrupted, turn it off. Great for emergencies though if you're stuck somewhere or stranded or in a sticky situation. Can be bulky to carry around, and if you go out drinking, you may lose it somewhere Over here (UK), people were killing for mobile phones a few years ago, so try to be discreet when using it. - Yes it does. Wind makes things move. Trees sway and buildings sway. Radio waves tend to bounce in strange ways off objects. Some frequencies go right through and others ricochet. Depends on the signal and the location of the receiver and everything between the two. Satellite signals are more direct.
