- Q: I'm sending a package over to someone in IraqI want to include some baked goods, but I'm worried about them spoiling or going staleI heard about getting one of those big vacuum bags and put them in that, suck out all the air, and then put some of the silicon beads in the box with it to keep the moisture awayBut I wasn't sure if that actually worksSometimes the lids on plastic containers pop open easily so I don't really want to use thatI was thinking about putting the vacuum bag of baked goods in a tin container but I'm not too sureAny suggestions?I asked this in Food Drink but no one answered.
- I am SO glad I took the time to read the full questionWhen I read that first line I was sorely tempted to respond with something like, A good piece of a is as close as the end of my armBy the way, that is the title of a real song I know.
- Q: Will this be sufficient to heat aluminum tubes (old tent poles) so they will not crack when being pressed flat?
- Butane has a hotter flame as it is more volatile and will therefore burn at a faster rate.

- Q: My cat somehow got shut into my bathroom on accident and while inside she opened a drawer in front of the doori can only open the door about half an inch and the only thing I have found long enough to fit through the door is a blind turner which bends if you apply pressureThe hinges are also on the inside of the doorThe cat is meowing constantly, how do i get the drawer shut or the door open? This is crazy!
- Use a long kitchen knife (wrap it in aluminum foil to protect kitty from the blade) or metal skewer to close the drawerOr, if the opening is large enough, you could use a broomstickA sturdy plastic coat hanger may work as wellYour best bet will be to close the drawer somehowIf all else fails, try going in through the window (if you have one and it's unlocked)It could be worseOne of mine somehow got trapped between the bathroom cabinet and the floor onceI eventually had to cut a hole in the bottom of the cabinet to get her outLOLI know it's frustratingDo you have a fireplace? If so, maybe a fireplace poker will workOr, perhaps an extra long screwdriverA tent pole, maybe?
- Q: what is oxides means?
- No, because the foil is a vapor barrierIf you add insulation on top you will gather moisture which will cause dripping and moldSon is in insulation business.
- Q: how many electrons WILL aLUMIUM element gain or lose in forming an ion?
- I personally own one of theseNot top of the line, but functions just fine and a good deal compared to what you can spend on other companies ARsMine is chambered in the 5.56, which is a good idea if you plan on using the rifle for more than plinking or varmint hunting.
- Q: I bought a stainless steel pan for my pasta today..from a grocery store (not wal-mart, for the record). It's labeled as stainless steal, and I bought the most expensive one just for the sake of buying what you pay for. I want to avoid aluminum...I have a feeling some stainless steal pans contain aluminum. Is it possible for a stainless steel pan to have aluminum coating?
- If its is stainless steel, it will not have an aluminium coating. Stainless steel and aluminium don't go well together due to their different atomic compositions and the way they react with oxygen, producing a phenomenon known as Galvanic Corrosion when certain metals come into contact. You are safe with your pan. It does not have an Aluminium coating, as it could not be released on the market if it were Aluminium coated Stainless Steel due to Health and Safety and Food Hygeine standards.
- Q: with readers now being able to scam your credit card numbers from the cards in your wallet, can i use 2 pieces of lead sheets and stick the credit cards sandwiched between them to avoid getting scammed ???
- DenimBeautiful and long lasting.
- Q: You calculate the mole ratio of oxygen to aluminum in a compound to be 1.5 mol O : 1 mol AlWhat should you do to determine the mole ratio in the empirical formula of the compound?aMultiply each mole value by 1.5 bMultiply each mole value by 2cdivide each mole value by 1.5dDivide each mole value by 2
- Whenever you see a molecular formula - like water for example - H20 - that number 2 in there has to be a whole number (just for the ease of reading them)It is just the way it isWater could also be written H0(1/2) but that is more confusing for the reader to look atWater could also be written H(1/2)0(1/4) and even though this is correct, it is just hard to look atThat is all that your question is trying to do - to have you put the formula in whole numbersIf you multiply both 1.5 and 1 by 2 (answer b)- you now have 3 and 20(3)Al(2) Multiplying a, c, or d by 1.5 and 1 would all leave fractions with either Oxygen or AluminumThanks AEinstein
