- I don't know that I've ever heard of a skyscraper made of aluminum. Although aluminum is almost as strong as steel (tensile strength), it's modulus of elasticity is about 1/3 that of steel, so it would tend to sway in the breeze about 3 times as much as a steel structure. And vibrations from earthquakes would be a real problem (more of a problem than it already is for steel).

- Q: I was wondering, when it comes to double pointed needles, or DPNs, do I HAVE to use dpn's? or can I just use 3 same size normal knitting needles, with the stopper on one end? Im worried about the kneedles falling out of the stitches, because I naturally prefer aluminum needles, and Im a beginner wanting to use dpn's.Any help? Thanks!~Bill S.
- G You could use 3 straight needles (actually 4) as long as you're willing to transfer the stitches to another needle every time, since your stops will end up on the wrong end to continue knitting easilyCircular needles are an option, but a simple elastic band on the end of a dpn keeps the stitches in place if you like aluminum needlesI, personally, prefer birch dpns since the stitches seldom slip off of themThere are also WIP tubes (Work In Progress) available where you can store your work at the end of a sessionThe tubes have a slot for the work to hang out of with the needles inside the tube where the stitches are held.

- If the sauce is acidic -tomato, lemon etc., then the aluminum will leach into your sauceNot a good taste On juice cans it always says to place any remaining juice in another non- metal container, that is because the aluminum will leach into the juice/ food.I don't think you will actually die, but I would not use that pan for this type of cooking or baking.
