1.Why we use aluminum?
In Europe aluminium experiences high rates of recycling, ranging from 42% of beverage cans, 85% of
construction materials and 95% of transport vehicles.Recycled aluminium is known as secondary aluminium, but maintains the same physical properties as primary aluminium. Secondary aluminium is produced in a wide range of formats and is employed in 80% of alloy injections. Another important use is for extrusion.
White dross from primary aluminium production and from secondary recycling operations still contains useful quantities of aluminium that can be extracted industrially. The process produces aluminium billets, together with a highly complex waste material. This waste is difficult to manage. It reacts with water, releasing a mixture of gases (including, among others, hydrogen, acetylene, and ammonia), which spontaneously ignites on contact with air;contact with damp air results in the release of copious quantities of ammonia
gas. Despite these difficulties, the waste has found use as a filler in asphalt and concrete.

With thickness less than 0.012 mm size is related to the diameter of the work roll (thickness) of very thin aluminum foil, due to the elastic flattening mill roll, with single rolling method is very difficult, therefore receives rolling method is adopted, namely between the two pieces of aluminum foil with lubricant, then combined the method of rolling (also called pack rolling). Not only can pack rolling rolling out a single thin aluminum foil rolling can't production, can also reduce the number of broken belt
- Q: I'd like to make it with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients I can(In other words, no butterscotch chips or butter-flavored extract, etc.)THANKS!!!
- INGREDIENTS: 2 cups granulated sugar 2/3 cup cream 2/3 cup water 1/8 tsp cream of tartar 6 tbsp butter, cut into small pieces 1/2 tsp vanilla extract PREPARATION: 1Prepare an 8” square pan by lining it with aluminum foil and spraying the foil with cooking spray2Combine the sugar, cream and water in a large saucepan over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves 3Add the cream of tartar and boil the mixture until it reaches 240 degrees (soft-ball stage)Add the butter and continue boiling until the mixture reaches 280 degrees (soft-crack stage)4Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract5Pour mixture into the prepared pan and allow it to cool at room temperatureWhen it is nearly set, use an oiled knife to mark it into 1” squaresOnce the butterscotch is entirely set, break the squares and wrap them individually in waxed paper
- Q: i wanna lease a 2009 bmw 328i sedan but i wanted to know how much is it monthly for it?i want it to have the chestnut brown dakota leather, aluminium trim, navigation system, and premium package.is the 328i a good car to lease?and what are the hidden fees on it?
- thats impossible unless you have conc acids already in your home like muriatic acid or acetic acid found in bathroom cleaner and vinegar respectively
- Q: aoxygenbiodinecsodiumdaluminumenickel, 2 electrons lostfmagnesiumname the charge for each element.
- All of these elements have a valence of 8Thus, if there are less than 4 valence electrons, the charge will be positiveIf there are more than 4 electrons, the charge will be negativei don't have a periodic table with me, but if you draw out Bohr-Rutherford diagrams it should be pretty easyOh, and if it has 4 valence electrons it could be positive or negative, and this is assuming the we're starting in a neutral state.
- Q: OkayYesterday i posted many questions about thisMy spark plug broke inside the cylinder! I bought some Champion plugs, after only 1,200 they were misfiring i noticed they were extremely worn! So i took them out and replaced them with motorcraftYet on one cylinder the plug broke and, as i tried to remove the remnants of the plugs, the hex came off along with the remainder of the plug, only leaving the thread ring and the gap in the cylinder! I am afraid pieces of metal fell into the cylinder! Not only that, even with an easy out thing i can't remove the old thread! Its lodged in there! The car is a 2001 Ford WindstarAnd in reality i can't afford to have the whole engine taken apartFord engineered these cars so its nearly impossible to access the rear plugs! And champion plugs are a POS! What can i do!gt;!?!
- The cheapest way is buy a new pillow, opening the seam and using the stuffingYou know it's new and there's plenty to last a whileYou can then use the covering to construct another ugly critter with the left overs! Or you can buy the stuffing and skip the workWalmart used to carry batting but since they revamped the stores, you might be better off going the pillow route.
- Q: I have regular sugar even brown sugar but I dont have powdered sugarAny iddeas pleaseI cant get to the store.
- You can try cinnamon sugarSince you have sugar perhaps you can make a carmel glazeThat sounds yumyBoth recipes to follow Carmel Glaze 1/2 cup butter or margarine 2 teaspoons milk 1/2 cup brown sugar Make the glaze by heating the butter, milk and brown sugar in a small saucepan over medium heatBring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar, then remove from the heatDrizzle over the warm doughnuts.Place a sheet of aluminum foil under the cooling rack to catch the drips for easy clean up Cinnamon Sugar 1 cup granulated sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon Combine
- Q: I need colored paper but I don't have any construction paperi could print out colored paper but that's a huge waste of inki've already thought of cutting up shopping bags, any other suggestions?
- Wrapping paper or tissue Aluminum foil Large pictures from a magazine, or multiple pictures cut and pasted behind your text page Color a rectangle around your page with a marker
- Q: I have a real cheap Chinese thermal compound (ZP-360, 30 gm, tube)It works just OK and I have been using it for a few years now.I was wondering if I could add copper filings in it to improve its performanceI am planning to use a very fine grit sandpaper to sand a household 99.9% pure copper wireand then add the copper powder to this silicone-based thermal compound. My primary use of this compound is for cpu and gpu heatsinksand I use a very little drop of it to avoid dripping/short-circuiting etc.I wanted to ask if this will improve the performance and thermal conductivity of this cheap thermal compoundhas anyone of you done anything similar?
- No no noCopper and aluminum will corrode against each otherThermal paste is just that, a paste to remove air gaps between the CPU and the aluminum heatsinkEven the fine ground metal will hurt what thermal transfer there is, making it worse(aside from the corrosion issue) Heatsink compound is not that electrically conductive, it is heat conductiveDon't mix up those two different functions, they are not the same thing.
- Q: I have a sheet of SA-414-GI would like to know if it has a fine grain structureThe aluminum content is gt;0.02 from the MTR, which would leave me to believe it has a fine grain structureHowever, if the aluminum was added for deoxidation purposes it may have been added at a different point in the process and have no impact on grain structureOr maybe that doesn't even matter?
- First, if you want to know whether the grain structure is fine, you can lookSample it and measure the grain size Second, fine grain size is in the eye of the beholder, what are you comparing it to? Third, Al killed steels are deoxidized by adding Al during the melting and casting processIt works because Al is much more reactive with O than Fe is so Al will steal O away from Fe oxides, forming Al2O3 The Al2O3 particles can be very effective at pinning grain boundaries so, if processed approprately, Al can help produce a small grainsizeFor details, consult your friendly neighborhood metallurgist.
- Q: I'd like to make a baked chicken dish with boneless chicken breasts and some kind of cream soup (I have a few different kinds) for dinner tonightWhat else can I put in there to make a yummy dinner? Thanks~
- INGREDIENTS 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into bite size pieces 2 cups milk 2 cups uncooked white rice 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup 1 teaspoon seasoned salt DIRECTIONS 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) 2In a medium bowl combine the milk, rice, soup and seasoned salt if desiredMix wellPour mixture into a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dishAdd the chicken pieces 3Cover dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 90 minutes or until rice is done, stirring every 30 minutesUncover the dish and bake for another 15 minutes to allow the rice to brown.
- Q: I HAVE A SMALL LEAK BETWEEN THE COPPER TUBE ON THE COMPRESSOR AND THE ALUMINIUM COIL ON THE CONDENSER THE AC REPAIR MAN ATTEMPTED TO FIX IT WITH SOME TYPE OF SEALER BUT COULDN'T AND SAID THE WHOLE UNIT WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED IS THERE ANY WAY TO PERMANENTLY STOP THE LEAK EITHER THRU SOLDERING OR A COUPLING
- Yes it can be repairedYour a/c guy is not very sharp if he cannot do itHe may just want to sell you a replacement unit There is a 45% silver yellow brazing wire specially designed for connecting dissimilar metals such as copper aluminumOne can even use it to connect steel and copper-but its NOT cheapAll the refrigerant will need to be recovered, then a trickle of nitrogen should be running through the system to avoid flaking oxidation on the inside of the pipe(s)The joint should be extremely clean and something called stay-silv flux should be usedNOT plumbing fluxThe heat can be something as cool as mapp gasOxy-acetylene not required(actually too hot) A HVAC tech with the skills to do this type of brazing should be kept on speed dialI used to teach 1st year refrigeration principles students how to do this type of brazing.
