Q: I just got the -3 h2 baseball bat (the orange one) for next year and i don't know if i have to break it inI know aluminum bats are best out of the package- you don't have to break them in - but composite bats should be broken in so they don't crack as easily and have more popthe h2 has as composite handle and aluminum barrel so i don't know what to do on these half and half bats.
Breaking it in is not necessary but if you have a few swings in it, it wouldnt hurtDont over use it but just do some hitting off the tee, some soft toss and maybe a little batting practiceJust to get used to the bat and know how it feels.
Q: i want to make some gluten free breadthese are the ingredients i have in the house for the flour.white rice flourtapioca flourpotato starchcorn starchcorn mealdry yeast.i do NOT have access right now to xanthan gum, powdered milk,(in fact i'm allergic to milk) egg substitue or any other obscure ingredientevery recipe i have looked up contains very convoluted instructions always including some ingredient for the flour that i don't have.can someone give me a recipe using the ingredients i have above with common household ingredients like eggs, shortening, ect? Please??i also have no breadmakerthis will be done in a regular oven
cans make you A LOT more money and take up less room to collect
Q: Aluminum hydroxide reacts with sulfuric acid according to the balanced equation 2 Al(OH)3 + 3 H2SO4 ? Al2(SO4)3 + 6 H2OIf you react 0.450 moles of aluminum hydroxide with 355 milliliters of 6.0 M sulfuric acid, which reagent is the limiting reactant? How many grams of Al2(SO4)3 can you make?365(1/197)(1/3)(342/1) 211.2135.1(1/78)(1/2)(342/1) 76.95is it Al(OH)3 and the most you could make is 76.05 grams
IMO if you're that far up the price range then go for the carbonCheck out the diamondback podium 5Super light carbon frame at a decent priceStock wheels are meh but that's an easy upgrade down the road
Q: What is the average life expectancy of home air ducts (sheet medal and flexible)? My home in 22 years oldWe just had our sheet medal ducts cleaned and the company said the inside of the ducts were rustyDoes this mean they are already nearing the end of their life? What will happen if I don't replace them? Any health problems? How much would replacement cost? The home is in western Pennsylvania and has central heat and air conditioning.
no, i think you are okare they flex duct or aluminum? if they are rusty, that means moisture/condensationaluminum ducts are much better than flex ductwhat you could do which is somewhat cheap and effective is insulate themthat will prevent any further condensation from formingit's a do it your self project tooflex duct was intended to be used for bends and angles but a lot of home builders use it throughoutit has insulation already on ittypically it will be round, shiny, pipingif you have good aluminum ducts, i would consider wrapping them with insulationno more condensation! youre right, tin or sheet metalpoint is wrap the ducts with insulationwhen you have cold air blowing through a hot humid attic, condensation formsinsulate your duct works and no more moisture.
Q: does more conductor resistance mean the aluminium is not in the purest form
There has to be a question to have an answer
Q: In general
in general is a bit vague, but based on total quantity used, I'd say steel, as it is used for automobiles, appliances, has uses in construction and is used for food packagingOn the other hand for aircraft, various alloys of aluminum are generally a better type of sheet metal
Q: Do solar cells work because of a heat differential? If that is so, would it be feasible or cost effective to use geothermal to cool part of the cell, thus boosting the power output of the cell?
Solar cells work because of the photo-voltaic (not the photo-electric) effect, that is current is created when light strikes a surfaceYour idea to use geothermal to cool the cell does not make sense, you miss the point of geothermal completelyGeo means earth and Thermal means heat, therefore heat from the earthHow are you going to cool anything with thatWhat you are trying to describe is a Thermo-couple, I tried building one when I was 5 using a fire and a bucket of ice with tin foilUnderstandably it did not work, and I got a nasty burn :-( Hope this helps Chris
Q: I attached a large sheet of aluminum foil to my 28 inch TV screen and fixed a grounded wire about a 1/2 inch from the foil to create a giant spark when I turn the TV onWhenever I turn the TV on, there is a very loud POP and a bright blue spark that is about 2mm thick. Now the real question is.When the spark/pop occurs, why does my computer, my mouse, my DSL modem suddenly shut off all at once and then come back on about 3 seconds later? Am I producing high powered microwaves that are frying everything in the room including myself? Is it an EMP scalar explosion that is creating eddy currents in all the electronics? What causes this effect? The U.Smilitary could use this by making a 300,000 ft TV with an aluminum foil the side of 10 football fields and aim it at a bad nation and ALL of their electricity goes out instantly BAM!!
I am not an electrical engineer, but have studied EE for around 2 years for other engineeringThis is what I think is happening: Al on TV: When TV is powered on, the charging Television (would help to know if LCD, plasma, or tube) charges the Al sheetIf you don't know, Al is conductiveA Capacitor is a conductor and a dielectricThe charge from the TV hops the TV onto the AlYou have created a sheet capacitorWhen the charge builds on the sheet, it rapidly discharges to the groundIf it wasn't grounded, you could be shockedThe popping is the internal energy of the aluminum deforming due to heat and current buildupThis next step is the one I am not too sure aboutSomehow, the aluminum sheet is drawing more power from the TVWhen the TV draws more current, it causes a brownout, or a temporary status where the other items connected to the same socket, circuit breaker, or powersupply lose powerYour mouse is powered by your computerSo the computer and modem don't have enough power to operate, but when the surge is over, they come backThe reason the computer doesn't reset all of the way is because enough energy more than likely reaches the harddrive to keep some charge on the system.
Q: When baking they usually tell you to place parchment or any other cooking paper under the cake so when the cake is done baking and colling it wont stick I was wondering if you place aluminum would it have the same effect or it would stick?
When you cook on foil it will heat/ cook the bottom of what ever you place on it more faster than the topIn other words you will not have even cooking like you would with parchment or a silpat (a silicone cooking sheet)
