Q:Will plastic ruin a metal grind wheel?
No, it will not ruin the wheel. It will melt the plastic some and may clog up the wheel. You could run the will on grinder over a pc of steel or cement block for a couple seconds and clean it back up, remove all the melted plastic and be like new again.
Q:Im looking for a off brand of cragar truck wheels in the nomad 2 315 series design in a 15x10 chevy 6 lug pattern. thank you
Is there any reason you need an off brand? Summit sells the exact wheels you are looking for, unless you want cheaper ones. If that's the case, check out US Wheel Series 75 at Summit.
Q:I have a 1998 Buick Regal GS, is it rear wheel drive or front wheel drive?
Front wheel drives are better in the snow because your more pulling the vehicle rather than pushing. Because it's turning your front wheels. Rear wheel drive vehicles are mostly sporty cars because you get a certain, or better accelerationin the sports car. Example I own a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro (Rear Wheel Drive) and in the winter I put snow tires on and sand bags in the trunk so there is more weight in the back for more traction on the back wheels with all the power.
Q:Are there special wheels for roller blades that are made specifically for skating on rougher sidewalks and streets? I live in the city, and there are no bike paths or anything near me. Just sidewalks. Are there special wheels that I can put on my skates so that I can skate around my area?
The bigger the wheel the smoother the ride. Of course your skate can only take a certain size wheel which should be printed on the frame. Also there is a rating on the wheel called durometer which should be something in the range of 78a to 85a. A lower number is a softer wheel which will give a smoother ride. (a softer wheel will wear down faster)
Q:How do I get into the mud in the rainy day?
Use sand to increase the grinding paint force, and then one, think of ways to increase power, or pull the cart dragged out.
Q:What is the difference between manual shift four wheel drive with manual front wheel locks versus the shift on fly high range and low range four wheel drive.
manual four wheel drive u have to be stopped and sometimes u even have to lock in your front wheels, shift on the fly u can usually be moving at a lower speed, not completley stopped and it engages automatically. P.S. the high and low ranges are just different speed 4 wheel drives, low range just barely will go, and high range u can get a little faster
Q:my wheels are 78mm and I‘m having a hell of a time finding that size.if I bought 76mm wheels would they still fit or are they too small? thanks
Are you sure they're not a 78 durometer (78A) as opposed to a 78mm size? I ask only because the standard wheel size progression goes from 72mm to 76mm to 80mm, so a 78mm would be pretty odd. The durometer (or 'A' value), however, refers to the hardness of the wheel and a 78A is a pretty standard outdoor hardness rating. So, is there another legible number on the wheel you can check to make sure you are not mistaking the hardness for the size? If not, and assuming you are skating on 78mm wheels, a 76mm replacement would fit fine. It should definitely be put in the front wheel position, however. You'll have a 2mm rocker, but that will just make the inlines feel more like ice skates. If that's the route you go, I'd suggest you get the same set up on both skates to avoid any feel variance between the two. EDIT: With regards to recommended hardness in previous post. Keep in mind that wheel hardness should be driven by your size/weight, much like a hollow on an ice skate. You want a durometer high enough to be durable, but tacky enough to give you some grip. If you weigh 150 lbs, you can go up to a 90+ durometer without any problems. However, the heavier you are, the softer you want your wheels to be to ensure some degree of traction. For example, I weigh 225 lbs and cannot go higher than an 82A without starting to lose traction on my cuts and deep turns. In fact, I opt for an 80A, choosing the added tack over the loss in durability Note: Indoor wheels have their own specified durometer range (76A and lower) and will tend to have thinner profiles as well.
Q:How is a wheel like a lever ?
The wheel can be likened to a whole series of levers, like spokes, all attached to the rim of the wheel. It will only ACT as a lever if it is a driven wheel, not free wheeling. There will be a load, an effort and a fulcrum. The effort will be applied as torque to the wheel axle. The load is the resistance to the wheel turning. The fulcrum is the axle centre. The load arm is the wheel's radius. The effort arm is the distance part of the torque, to the axle centre.
Q:its really bad, the metal next to the rubber wheel is all orange. Both wheels. Any ideas?
make up a paste of baking soda and water. The paste needs to be thick enough to stick to the rust and metal. Let it dry then scrub it off with steel wool, sandpaper, or a wire brush. You may need to do several applications. NOTE: just scubbing with steel wool, sandpaper or a wire brush will work--the baking soda paste helps to loosen up the rust. another rememdy is to let the wheels soak in cola, but it would probably be cheaper to buy some phosporic acid from the hardware store and follow the instructions for rust removal. there are also any number of commercial rust removers available in the hardware store. If you use any of them make sure you buy some heavy duty rubber gloves to protect your hands. make sure your wheels haven't rusted through. If they have then you should replace them because they are no longer safe to use.
Q:I wanted to know what the difference between All Wheel Drive and Rear Wheel Drive when it comes to the Cadillac Escalade ESV.
If you modified it the warranty might be void ,ask the dealer go to service department not the salesman if they say it will still be covered asked for this in written form.
