- Here short and to the point. Static means wheel weights are only on one side of the wheel. Dynamic balances both side of the wheel and wheel weights will be on the outside and inside of the rim. This is the correct way to balance a tire. Dynamic. Static is the worst. Generally lazy shops will do trailer tires, static. Any tire should always have a dynamic balance.
