Q: What the 5/2 mean on wheels?
if your wheel is 7 inches wide then you will have the center of the wheel offset. the 5 inches will be to the center of the bike and the 2 inches will be to the outside of the bike. or the other way around. ether way will be 5/2 or 2/5.
Q: Really want a new steering wheel on my 1990 truck.Old one is too big, worn etc. It‘s and easy install, really simple.no power steering, no airbags etc. I know the cost for a new wheel and installation ( If i didn‘t do it myself )How common is it for an aftermarket wheel to come off or for it to strip the hub etc, Id prefer to not crash at 65 mph. I would assume it‘s no more dangerous than the wheel on my truck now, but just wondering.
No known probs with aftermarket steering wheels. I have had a grant classic 13 wheel (same steering wheel) in 3 cars over the past 13 years. No probs with it. These 3 cars have been street/strip cars ranging from 300 HP to 600 HP.My camaro now is 600 HP, took to dragstrip every weekend runs 125 mph through the 1/4 mile, drove to track and back 2 hours each way, used as a daily driver car for 7 years with about 10K miles per year. My GF has a grant GT wheel on her '87 burb that came off my dad's toyota pickup that he had for 8 years (had to buy a new install kit to put it on her chevy though) I have a grant classic wheel on my 1988 S10 You have nothing to worry about when it comes to the safty of an aftermarket steering wheel. Just buy the right install hub/kit for your car and install like the papers says to and you'll be fine
Q: Why do many high end bikes have more spokes in the rear wheel than in the front? I understand that the rear wheel supports more weight and it drives the bike. However when you brake hard weight shifts forward and most of the braking torque is thru the front wheel. I‘d think the front wheel should be as least as strong as the rear? Am I missing something?
The braking is on the rim. No torque is applied to the front wheel. Rear wheel carries 2/3 of the weight or more. Also must endure torque loads from the hub. I've never been a fan of less spokes. The weight saving is negligible. The aero improvement is imaginary, as more spokes approach a disc aerodynamically. Stiff wheels deliver power to forward motion more efficiently.
Q: When a plane takes off do the pilots hit the brakes to stop the wheels from spinning or is there a system that stops the wheels when they are being put in the compartment. Does it even matter if they are stopped? Do they stop fast?
Commercial airliners have a pad in the nose wheel well that contacts the tires to stop their spin when retracted. The main gear hydraulic brake system is designed to stop the wheels upon retraction.
Q: What is the hard drive and pedal hard?
This situation is mostly poor brake stroke master
Q: I need to know good rear wheel bearings to buy for my 2001 Volvo S40 and oil filter, fuel filter and air filter. Thanks!
Find a foreign car parts store that features German parts. Most of Volvo parts are supplied by the Germans, anyway. Mann is a premium name. Also, FAG and SKF for wheel bearings. Remember to locate, remove, and clean your OIL TRAP. Usually at 100,000 miles, it should be replaced. Hopefully, you are using only a good synthetic oil, like Mobil One or ELF formulations made strictly for Volvo. Good luck!!
Q: Just learn the car, the steering wheel gently hit a hemp, and how to master,
To practice more open, slowly skilled, just the beginning of the same!
Q: I run the rear run a little swing, what is the reason ah? Can repair it? The key is to put the disc together, the disc brake will always be tightened,
Because the wheel deformation, so have to repair, they will buy a straightener, the wheel correction just fine
Q: im making a custom bike and want a small front tire could i use like a razor scooter wheelor maybe like a moped wheel or just a small bicycle wheelwhere would i be able to get one
Use a 12 1/2 pneumatic bicycle/scooter wheel. Pro bike shops usually have scooters with these types of wheels around, toddler bikes have the wheels on them. I recently bought a set of 12 1/2 Kenda tires and some Bell tubes, every bit the quality of larger ones for a friends kids Tonka bike. Also, in the late 80's early 90's when I was a kid there was slew of cheap scooters with mag wheels and pneumatic tires, but they were a pain in the rear to air up since they had so little rim to hub clearance. I'm sure you can find one of those locally at a pawn shop or junk dealer no problem, I think they were 8 1/2 x 2 or something.
Q: im thinking about getting a giant comfort wheel but i dont know if its good for hedgehogs can you help me or send a picture of a good one
it's not a good idea unless u sleep in a separate room hedgehogs go crazy at nite. and they run constantly. they practically ruined my beauty sleep
