Q: Can plastic sheets be used for insulation purposes?
Yes, plastic sheets can be used for insulation purposes. They can act as a barrier to prevent heat transfer, keeping the space insulated and improving energy efficiency.
Q: I did some repair work under my trailer, and had to slit open my plastic to get to it. Now I have replaced the insulation, but I need to put the plastic back together. The slit is big enought that I need to put another piece of plastic over the hole. I only have wood available on one side. On that side, I can use my hand stapler and staple it into the wood. Then one side has a metal edge. And the other two sides I just need to connect it to the existing plastic. The staples will just fall out if I put them from plastic to plastic. How do I this this correctly?
Gorilla brand duct tape. Its strong stuff. It held the rear window of my convertible in for over 6 months! In the Winter!
Q: I am about to buy a Create and I have heard a lot of people complaining about the nibs being destroyed very fast due to the paper-like surface of the tablet drawing area, so I was wondering if putting paper or plastic would make the nibs last longer (without compromising the tablet performance).
Not a bad idea but I don't think it's necessary. You could try it though. I just don't think it's worth it. (I can tell you that putting a paper under it won't help. If anything it makes using it more difficult.) This is assuming you're not going to be sitting at your computer drawing (or whatever) constantly 24/7. Bamboo create has an eraser on the back of the pen. If you feel like your nib is wearing out to quick you can draw with it as well. I don't notice much of a difference between drawing with the nib side or the eraser side. Also the tablet does come with a few replacement nibs. They'll last longer than you think! Just DON'T loose them! If you want the nib to last longer only use it for drawing (or whatever it is you specifically got it for) use the eraser or you finger the rest of the time. I've had my tablet for half a year and I haven't even gone through one nib even though I draw a lot. I would also like to note that at some point you will most likely need to install a driver to your computer. I had a rather annoying issue a few months ago when the tablet knew the pen was there but the cusser wasn't showing up on the screen. The driver fixed this all up. I've also had a very positive experience with customer service. Sent me a new USB cord when my original broke, no questions asked. :)

Q: Are plastic sheets resistant to extreme weather conditions?

Q: I desperately need this material for a project at work, my boss is counting on me. I've already looked at Home Depot (only white stuff), Walmart had nothing, and Michaels had nothing. Any Suggestions???

Q: What are the thermal conductivity properties of plastic sheets?
The thermal conductivity properties of plastic sheets vary depending on the type of plastic used. Generally, plastic sheets have low thermal conductivity, meaning they are poor conductors of heat. However, certain types of plastics, such as high-density polyethylene, can have relatively higher thermal conductivity compared to others.
Q: Where do u buy sheets of plastic mirror used in magic that are about 5 feet by a little over 2 feet?
Builder's Square (now out of business) used to carry them. I bought some and attached them to a three-panel screen to use when I practiced tap dancing. Home Depot and Lowe's carried them at one time in their plexiglas sheets department, near the hardware, and in their ceiling panels department, near the lighting. If you have a Sutherlands Lumber near you, you might check with them.
Q: I'm curious how plastic sheets/boards are made. The kind that may possibly be found at places like Home Depot.. I have an inkling that the sheets are extruded and cut into boards.. but I need a confirmation of this process. It would help greatly!!Is there a site that can explain this process?Any advice helps and is greatly appreciated. THANKS!! :)
Plastic sheets / tubes of longer length are produced by extruding. Smaller sizes by moulding.
