Made from Lexan Polycarbonate material, a high performance GE engineering thermoplastic. Lexan corrugated polycarbonate sheet offers the clarity of glass, transmitting up to 90% of visible light while filtering out harmful ultraviolet light. Its proprietary integral UV resistance is backed by a 10 year limited warranty against yellowing and loss of light transmission.
JIasida Corrugated Polycarbonate Sheet is exceptionally resistant to weathering. - Not totally sure this would work for you... I'd hate for you to melt the plastic, but it did work for me on a velvet coat. Take a plain brown bag and put it over the wax, take an iron thats set on low or medium and iron it slowly. the bag will absorb the melted wax. you have to turn the bag as it absorbs to get... fresh non waxy bag. - How about putting extensions on the gutter spouts so they move the excess run off water away from the foundation. The plastic will not keep the water from getting onto the basement. Since the plastic is NOT sealed to the ground water will flow under it and continue into the basement. Also, find and seal any cracks in your foundation. You can also hire a professional to waterproof the entire foundation. However, if you have a high water table in your area the water will come up from under the foundation during heavy rains.
