Description
Ferro Silicon is a kind of ferroalloy which is composed of ferrum and silicon. Ferro Silicon uses coke, quartz (or silica) as raw materials and is made by electric furnace. Because silicon and oxygen are easily compound into SiO2, the ferrosilicon is often used as deoxidizer in steelmaking.
Application
1. Ferrosilicon is often used as deoxidizer in steel- making.
2. Ferrosilicon also can be used as alloy elements join agent, which is widely used in low alloy steel, non-ferrous metal, bearing steel, heat-resistant steels and electrician silicon-steel.
3. It can be used as a reductant in ferroalloy production and chemical industry.
4. In iron industry it can be used as inoculant and nodulizer.

- Metal isn't really made. It exists in nature in the ground. All you do to make it useable is separate it from the other materials in the dirt and rock, usually by melting it down. But that is only to remove the 'impurities' and doesn't change the makeup of the metal itself. Many metals (especially steel) are also combined with other materials to make them stronger, or give them other desired properties.
- Q: I always see people into heavy or black metal... Did thrash metal die?
- You know the way that a car battery works? What you do there is that you draw electrons from metals to have be drawn through the circuit ionizing the metals and vice versa when recharging the battery. Now as compared to the other metals gold is less generous when it comes to giving off electrons as compared to the other metals so when you are doing the same as in a battery to that of whatever compound contains all of above mentioned metals you will have gold the last remaining nonionized metal. Just pour in any chloride solution or any halide and you will soak up the other metals. Rinse and repeat til you have only gold left. Easy as pie!
