Description
Ferro Silicon is a kind of ferroalloy which is composed of ferrum and silicon. Ferro Silicon uses coke, quartz (or silica) as raw materials and is made by electric furnace. Because silicon and oxygen are easily compound into SiO2, the ferrosilicon is often used as deoxidizer in steelmaking.
Application
1. Ferrosilicon is often used as deoxidizer in steel- making.
2. Ferrosilicon also can be used as alloy elements join agent, which is widely used in low alloy steel, non-ferrous metal, bearing steel, heat-resistant steels and electrician silicon-steel.
3. It can be used as a reductant in ferroalloy production and chemical industry.
4. In iron industry it can be used as inoculant and nodulizer.

- Nothing happened to metal. The whole emo metal thing is just another mainstream trend that is somehow influenced and pretended to be metal. This has happened before, in the 80s it was hair metal, in the 90s it was nu metal and now it is metalcore and scene music. However I think this is in USA, since in Europe the local metal bands are not metalcore or emo. You also have to understand that metal or as people say real metal will never be mainstream and will always survive as an underground form of music. In the 80s for example it was thrash metal that was underground. Also, many people say that real metal died in the 90s and only bands like Pantera were playing metal, while this is not true at all, because it has survived as death and black metal, especially in European countries like Sweden and Norway. Metalcore and emo would pass away, and the underground second wave of thrash metal and heavy metal would remain.

My 1 favorite genre of metal is either melodeath or metalcore. @thrasher Metalcore is metal. Not liking it doesn't change it's genre.

- #1: Metal #2: Not metal I'd never heard of the first band before so I listened to it and it reminded me of Nightwish a lot, who are a metal band. Evanescence, in my opinion, are not a metal band. They are rock, but lots of people argue that they are symphonic metal, like Nightwish, but I disagree because their music is not heavy enough.
