Q: I am looking to buy a semi-inground pool and I live in northwest Indiana. Anybody that has some prior experience with places in the area, please share? And if you had to use an excavator please share the experience of them as well. Thanks in advance.
I have owned one of these pools. 3' above the ground at the shallow end and dug out to 7' at the deep end. If you have never installed a pool before, I would not advise doing this yourself. I paid about $9000 a number of years ago for the pool and installation. They also had to remove a large tree stump in the area. All you can do is get bids and make sure they are using the same quality materials, especially the liner.
Q: Also, I noticed most job listings for them are temporary, how often must they relocate? Thanks
Field techs are basic archaeological excavators. They have to have a background in archaeology (usually a field school plus a bachelors degree), and they are the ones who dig test pits for surveys, excavate sites, sift dirt to collect artifacts, map sites, and so on. Field techs do the archaeology, but they are not the one in charge of the dig. People higher up work out the funding and contracts and permits, devise the plan for how and where to dig, do the background research (though field techs are sometimes involved in that), and write the final reports. The field techs are also usually the same people who wash, label, and catalog the artifacts in the lab. Field jobs are temporary. If you work for a company that has one job after another you might have the opportunity to keep working for them on a more permanent basis, but even then there will be times when there is no work and you are laid off. Lots of companies will just hire you for a short-term job and then lay you off, so you usually need to be in contact with multiple companies if you want to stay employed. I've worked field jobs that only lasted a couple days, but I've also been a field tech at a major site where I had permanent year-round work. Field tech jobs with CRM companies on average last only a matter of weeks, or sometimes a few months. Relocating somewhere new for each project generally only works if you know the job is longer term (though you still have to relocate after 6 months or a year or two), or if you are travelling around to short term jobs that pay a per diem. For example, a company may have jobs in multiple areas-- you go to those areas for a few weeks at a time and they pay your living expenses while you are there. Lots of companies only work in a specific region, however-- if you get with them, then you'll be commuting to different sites, but can at least have a permanent residence rather than relocating.
Q: i know the 400 excavator and d8, but what other equipment should i use?
Catx and Parachromis have given you the suitable suggestion right here. do no longer purchase fish in the previous analyzing approximately a thank you to look after them. As for the Bettas (no longer Beta), as you have been counseled, you could no longer shop the adult males at the same time because of the fact they're going to kill one yet another. If she offered greater suitable than one male betta she might desire to take something back, or assume she is going to might desire to establish various diverse tanks for them.you could shop some women human beings at the same time yet you could no longer shop a male with women human beings different than whilst they are spawning. Bettas are tropical fish and should not be stored in unheated betta bowls no be counted what you have gotten heard. As has been mentioned, they might desire to be stored in a minimal of a 5 gallon heated, filtered tank. you will get a 6 gallon Eclipse tank for approximately 50 money, and the heater would be yet another 20 or so. If this appears like various money, this is as a results of the fact to blame fishkeeping isn't a low priced pastime. you do no longer say what number or how vast your goldfish are, yet they want cooler water temperatures than a betta so which you would be able to no longer shop them at the same time. Goldfish want greater area than many different fish of the comparable length, so for a pair small comets, discern on paying for a 20 gallon tank and changing the water often. you do no longer want a heater for goldfish, yet you desire lots of filtration. in all probability the suitable element you're able to do is have your daughter p.c.. one betta or one goldfish to maintain, return something of the fish, and get the right tank and filtration to look after that one fish. otherwise she is going to be tremendously upset whilst her fish all die quickly.
Q: I have a big dirt pile just sitting behind my fence on my property. We plan on knocking the fence down and re-building it so the dirt pile needs to go as its in our way. The dirt pile came from a ditch that was built next to my house months ago and the workers just left the dirt that was dug up on my property. I have been calling and calling the company to come clean up their mess and they never return my phone calls so now I have to get rid of it myself but how? My husband tried shoveling it and spreading it out but that is way to much work as the pile is big and rock hard from sitting for so long. I have also called equipment rental places to rent a bulldozer or excavator and push it all out but they are way to expensive (we are on a budget). What's a cost friendly way to get rid of unwanted dirt piles?
Go to one of the big box hardware stores that usually has guys waiting around to do day work and hire several of them to shovel that pile out smooth. If you really want the dirt gone hire a small dumpster and have the guys shovel the dirt into that and have it picked up.
Q: why are big construction machines (tractors, dozers, excavators, etc) painted yellow? An overwhelming majority are yellow. Why not red, or some other color?
I generally agree with visibility, but I believe a shade of yellow is also a trademark for Caterpillar? I have seen a number of on imported (in the US) excavators (trackhoes) that were not yellow.
Q: My father won an auction on the internet for a really nice excavator that looks too good to be true. The seller wants us to pay him first before he delivers it to us. I was wondering if there was a form of payment similar to escrow, where we transfer the funds, but the seller does not get to access it until the equipment is in our hand and we approve of it.
I am assuming you bought this on Ebay. Paypal is the online OKorder account that acts as an escrow account. You put the money in, which notifies the seller. The seller delivers the product then can collect the money. If you do not receive the item, you can contact paypal and they take that money right back out of the seller's account. A credit card does exactly the same thing. If you don't get the property, you have 30 to 60 days to contest the charge and get the money right back. Hope this helps.
Q: Can anyone tell me the difference between a JCB & a Excavator? Any technical knowledge is also welcome.?
jcb is a company, an excavator is a machine that picks up dirt
Q: How to distinguish between good and bad excavators, ah, there is nothing wrong with what
The main problem is hydraulic, speak you master I am afraid you have to master, with a simple idle open action, walking and swing, do not believe the sound quality to the flat die head
Q: the question is' the city of rubber ville plans to dig a rectanguler landfil. the landfil will have a base with demensions 700 ft by 200 ft and a depth of 85 ft.'1- how many cubi feet of garbage will the landfill hold?2- what information would you need to determine how long the landfil can be used until its full?3- an excavator was hired to dig the hole for the landfill. how many cubic yards of dirft will he have to haul away?i reaally dont get this!can you please explain 1, 2, and 3 to me??
Well for number 1, simply find the volume by multiplying the given dimensions For number 2, you would need to know approxamitely the volume of trash going in daily, or something along those lines For the third, convert dimensions to yards, then multiply them? That's how I would do it, unless I misread the question
Q: Is construction equipment exciting?
My idea for retirement is to get a back hoe a bulldozer. I spend a day or two digging a nice square hole, then bulldoze it. Next day I start another hole - etc etc....
