- Q:Want it badly, I hear there's an FX version or something coming out. Dunno what that is, but is the eight-core Bulldozer coming out Q2 as well? I'm primarily interested because I'm a gamer and want to upgrade so that my PC is powerful.
- I highly doubt Bulldozer will be better than current Intel Sandy Bridge, especially core for core. Keep in mind, nearly every game out there uses from 1-4 cores max Either way, Sandy Bridge extreme in the last half of the year will easily be much better

- here' my advise, 1. the motherboard must be am3+ 2. if your not a gamer or anyone that needs that kind of power it's not something you need 3. if you only have an3 phenom works just fine other than that i already know that proccesor will kick some ***

- Q:How long does it take to take out a cylinder of a bulldozer?
- Which cylinder? A hydraulic for the blade or the rear PTO? One from the engine? Need more specifics. One of the blade hydraulics is not that long considering it is exposed and on the outside of the machine. Disconnect the hyd lines and undo the bolts and presto it comes off. Then disassemble cylinder and rebuild. So about an hour or a little more for such and the same for rebuild and then reassemble. For the engine a bit more time as getting in and such is not as easy. The Cat or other heavy equipment repair centre will be able to give you farly accurate times for such.

- The bulldozers will probably be pretty inexpensive, however often times this ends up depending on what you are going to do. Different games will work differently between 2 similar tier processors, a lot of it goes down to how the CPU works, not it's specs (if the specs are near identical). I would recommend just figuring out which Intel CPU is about your price range and then do so for AMD (as AMDs are typically cheaper) and just compare benchmarks. See if you can specifically find ones that use your favorite applications/games to see if there is a difference between them. For most people this is brand loyalty (even if not fan boy loyalty). I personally like both processors for different things and own a few from each side. For the most part though, if you have a nice processor (at least mid range) it won't much matter. Few games need strong processors, so you won't end up noticing much of a difference between a higher tier Intel vs AMD. So go with what you like and can afford (some people just feel better knowing which is in their computer, and that's fine until they start trash talking). I am still running a AMD Phenom II x4 at 4.1ghz and it doesn't cause me any problems, but I still want to upgrade and I am having a similar predicament.
- Q:OK, I run a Q9650 in my digital audio workstation. My buddies have been saying I should upgrade to an AMD 1090T or an Intel 980X...of course, they haven't volunteered to pay for the upgrade. LOLI am not talking about benchmarks, I am talking about real world audio/visual performance, as well as using programs like Maya.I know that the 980X is the uber beast CPU now...but, in reality, is it worth dropping $1K for it. The AMD 1055/1090 are also 6-cores...and are cheap...but, what would I gain upgrading in either case. Does bucks spent = improvement seen? I mean, my Q9650 is still ranked in the 1st tier, so...whaddya think?
- Keep your Q9650, Yes the i7 980X is a beast and will devour anything you throw at it. For the AMD 1090T, AMD are good for there GPU's but however compared to Intel CPU's they cannot compare. Also check that your software supports Multi-Threaded CPU's.
