I have a perfectly good, large crock with lid, but the crockpot it fits into no longer worksThe crock is so nice I hate to throw it away, but not sure how to use itAny ideas?
You can use it for a baking crock in the ovenIf the lid is glass then that is a plus, but if the lid is plastic, then you can bake with the crock using aluminum foil over the crock, then when it is ready to serve, you can use the plastic lid to keep it covered and warmIf you're not into baking that much, then you can use it as an indoor planter(Put small rocks in the bottom for drainge, since it doesn't have a hole in the bottom) .Or you can use it as a catch-all bowl by the door where you can put your keys and stuff as you walk in.

This is the fourth time when I am trying to bake chicken breasts with bones and it is again a disasterThe recipe calls for 15 minute of baking but my chicken breasts takes sometimes up to 1 hr to cook completelyI use 450 F and it quickly starts smelling like it's burningIs my oven broken or is it me? I use a flat pan covered with foilI am not good in cooking in general but trying to learn.
If you want really juicy and flavorful chicken then brine it before cookingMix 1/2 cup of kosher salt in 8 cups of cold water and soak the chicken for at least 4 hoursThen drain and season with black pepper, garlic powder and small amount of saltBake in shallow baking dish at 350 for about 45 minutes and make sure to cover the pan with aluminum foilOnce the chicken is out of the oven let it sit for about 10 minutes before you cut itThis will come out perfect every timeGood luck and happy cookingPS: Brining works on all kinds and cuts of chicken before cooking.
Whenever my parents would warm up pizza or bake a pie and use foil, they never used a hot mitI always wondered how because its in the oven-it should be hotBut it isn't.Why doesn't aluminum foil get hot in the oven?
I live in an apartment and I find using a pee pad it easierwhen I first started using the pee pad I had placed it near the door and when my dog got the hang of that I place it outside on the balconyEver since he been using itBut if your Yorkie can hold it the best bet will take him outside where he will go.
It was either last night or early this morning that he ate about half of a paper plate that was accidentally left in his crateThe reason I know this, is because when I went to see him this morning, there was about half of a ripped up paper plate in his crateHe is about 85 poundsI think that he is okay but I wanted to make sureHe seems to be acting normalIf it is something serious, I will take him to the vet, I love him very much but it doesn't seem serious and I am asking you just to make sureThanks:)
I'm sure your dog will be alrightI have a black lab, and before she turned twoshe ate almost everything in sight! LOL! Literallyshe ate through copious amounts of shoes, two cell phones, two cell phone charger cords, cable box wire, lamp cord (still plugged into the wall), aluminum cans, etcThe list goes on and on, but of all the things she's eatenshe's never gotten sick from it! If you're super worried about him, keep an eye on him over the next few days for unusual behavior.
I want to buy a used XLT or Lariat and have almost two hours searching for something to tell me what the difference was on those to packages for that yearI am really anxious to see if someone knows this answer.
a good way is to roast the garlicCut off the top, sprinkle w/olive oil and bake till softThen tst a couple slices of bread, then spread the garlic just like you would butterDelicious
like if the black covering stuff is scratched off in a few places, and the scratches are kind of deep? it's a cookie sheet.
hair treatments such as hair masks once a week would be goodIf you dye your hair, obviously stop as you're just making your hair more frizzier and hardI live in Australia, do you have Pantene other there? I say it's really good, or Dove, been using these two babies for years, makes hair very smooth and fragrantYou need to use your hair straightener lessThis is very damaging as the heat sucks out the natural moisture out of your hairYou probaly wouldn't want to use it less, i guess, so you should buy a protectant serum, you know one of those mousses or sprays you put on your hair before straightening as it minimises the damage to hair and minimises chance of moisture loss so you won't get frizzy and hard hair.
Hmm, wonder if Hasbro makes a little pink one called quot;My First Dutch Oven?quot; lol!I'm going to try it out this summer for the first timeI've read the sites, but wondered what you all thoughtI'm a woman, and while I'm young enough I'm not that strong, so aluminum appeals to me, since I want to be able to maneuver the thing if my husband isn't nearby. On the other hand, I keep reading things that say aluminum will let food burn too easily, and since I'm a complete noob at this, it has me worried. Also, when camping, we're terrible about cleaning out our dishes right away, so I want something that's low-maintenanceCast iron doesn't let food stick as badly, but there's the whole routine of caring for it after each use. What do you use/what would you recommend? I'll just be cooking for 5 people, mostly simmering dishes such as stews, and maybe some BBQ pulled pork. Thanks!
