FAQ

So I reckon it's time to install some of these bad boys. it's come to point where electricity providers are charging such extortionate amounts that I can definitely see these reaping huge rewards before long. (Okay I might be exaggerating a little - they are pretty costly themselves). The problem is I've read around that they're only fitted to south facing houses? Why so? Why can't they be installed on the rear side of the roof - the side facing the garden? My house is facing north, so the front door leads north. Could I have solar panels installed on the back? (That's basically my question, with a bit of a rant too lol).Cheers.
You want the panels facing south because that is where they would get the most sunlight throughout the day. If your front door is facing north, then the back of your house would be facing south, right? So put them up in the back where they are facing south...haha wtf..
Got a quote for about $K today for solar panels to save me about $00 a month on my electric bill. I was just wondering if anyone had successfully bought and installed their own and how it worked for you?

Yes, solar panels can be installed on the ground. Ground-mounted solar panels are a popular option for residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar installations. They are typically mounted on racks or frames that are secured to the ground, allowing the panels to capture sunlight and convert it into electricity. Ground-mounted solar panels are often preferred when there is limited roof space or for installations that require optimal positioning and easy maintenance.
I don't know anything about where to buy solar panels. I just want to save on the electric bills.
that's going to take approximately $forty 4,000 to place sufficient photograph voltaic panels to furnish the comparable quantity of skill which you at the instant have coming from a 220 v a hundred amp skill line on your place. you additionally must understand which you truly want some approach of storage for use at night or dark days. this might upload yet another $7,000 to the fee. the only actual answer for the skill issue is nuclear skill.
Solar Panels not working very well, they have faded. Is there any paint or anything else I can do to restore them? Thanks Eileen
Unfortunately Eileen the panels are bound to fade as its par for the course. Over time much like everything else (from an AC condenser to your knees and hips) everything starts to go south. When did you purchase and install your panels? If this was done within the past few years then something is definitely wrong, and you should have the manufacturer and installer come back and replace the panels....on their dime of course. Is the warranty on your panels still in effect? If so then its definitely something that they have to come back and take care of. There is a company I know of called Sun Electronics that has a 20 year warranty on their products, so if its worth anything you might want to buy your new panels/system from them. The panels around today are more efficient than those of years past, and with the cost coming down due to economies of scale and the tax incentives you might want to consider getting a new system. Sorry to let you down though Eileen!
Plz also label the price for the panel. I want a small panel but can produce a sufficent amount of energy. thank you :)

i attached a usb charger to my solar panel(it has an output of about .2 volts) but i read on my multimeter its only using about 8 volts however on the conventional wall charger that i use to charge it has an output of about 5. volts.... i believe that my mp3 player is not charging it does not display the charging icon when it is on or off ....is this becuase the output is higher ? do i need to install a volt dropping diode to prevent it from putting to much energy at once? (my mp3 charges fine on the wall charger but does not seem to respond to the solar panel so it the circuits are fine....)
5.3V is the open voltage or? So the full wattage of the photograph voltaic panel is 45W or so? i assume you are able to no longer make all your small A/C home equipment into DC ones. so which you would be able to think of bearing directly to the 2V DC enter 00W inverter. this type of inverter might have a some bit extensive enter voltage variety from like V-20V some situations.
i dont wanna buy a solar panel becuase its too exspensive, i dont want use technical stuff i want to use every day materiels, but i need to know asap plzzzz.
Solar panel is a sheet of highly expensive, purest Silicon manufactured in a factory of exceptional killingly stringent specifications. You can't do that as a cottage industry, at least the material.
