I'm trying to get 15mm circular blanks out of a very thin sheet of aluminum foil (~10 microns) without burring or deformationI cannot seem to find a reliable way of achieving this under a budget of $200Could someone recommend a method/product? Thank you!
I would think the basic form would be a matched pair of blocks with flat surfaces together and held in alignment to allow opening to a slot and compressed to clamp the material, drilled to near 15 mm and honed/reamed out to 15 mm and a flat faced machined 15 mm cylinder to shear the blank at the wallsIt seems to me that the simplest way to make a holder/opener for the slot that would withstand the machining would be to either bolt a slightly bent spring steel sheet to the side of the blocks while they were clamped or to machine the sides to a slight bevel and bolt a flat piece of spring steel to sideIn either case, the spring steel would force alignment of the side and clamping to close the narrow slot would permit drilling and honing the hole to produce a shear faceI think it would work to have a flat face on the cylinder although experiments with a slight machined dish face (concave) to produce slightly more of a cutting edge might be in orderThe cylinder might need a center hole to release air to keep the compression of air from dishing the foil as it was moved down the cylinder, but that might apply only to the first piece if the cylinder is only moved up and down 1 mm or so between punches and shifts of the foil.
please can someone answer this i really need a detailed answer and i cant find it anywhereplease could you also state the source when you got the info from thankyou

An industrial electrolytic process for producing aluminum uses the reactions shown in the following equations.Anode (oxidation): C(s) + 2 O^2- (aq) -gt; CO2(g) + 4e- (electrons)Cathode (reduction): Al3+ (l) + 3e- -gt; Al(s)a) How long would it take to produce enough aluminum to make a case (24 cans) of aluminum soft drink cans if each can used 5.00 g of aluminum, a current of 5.00 x 10^4 A was employed, and the current efficiency was 91.1%?3a) What current would be needed to electroplate 40.0 g of zinc in exactly 3 hours from a solution of zinc nitrate?
a college course perhaps at evening classes will teach you the technicals a simple camera/lens combination will be enough to get you thru this basic courseyou should then be in a position after the course to decide what further equipment you need

loosely lay a sheet of aluminum foil over the top as you cook itOr put a glaze on the top that has sugar or egg in itSugar will brown the top as it cooks, the sugar in the glaze will caramelize.
