1.Description

Aluminium (or aluminum; see spelling differences) is a chemical element in the boron group with symbol Al and atomic number 13. It is a silvery white, soft, nonmagnetic, ductile metal. Aluminium is the third most abundant element (after oxygen and silicon), and the most abundant metal in the Earth's crust. It makes up about 8% by weight of the Earth's solid surface.

Aluminium metal is so chemically reactive that native specimens are rare and limited to extreme reducing environments. Instead, it is found combined in over 270 different minerals. The chief ore of aluminium is bauxite.

Annual production of aluminium foil was approximately 800,000 tonnes (880,000 tons) in Europe and 600,000 tonnes (660,000 tons) in the U.S. in 2003. Approximately 75% of aluminium foil is used for packaging offoods, cosmetics, and chemical products, and 25% used for industrial applications (e.g. thermal insulation, cables and electronics.

2)Which country can we supply?

All around the world!

Q: A package of aluminum foil contains 47 ft^2 of foil, which weighs approximately 9.0oz Aluminum has a density of 2.70g/cm^3 What is the approximate thickness of the foil in millimeters?
If your engine compartment is very greasy, cover up your distributer or coil pack so it doesn't get wetThen take your car to a self serve high pressure car wash and hose off the majority of the grease without any solventAfter that is done depending on the severity of the grease then use a solvent to get the remaining dirt grime off.
Q: How do you find the valence number of electrons in elements on the periodic table? Here are a few Helium - Chlorine-Aluminum-Boron-
Application of blood meal many other products available at UR local nursery , heat and water will attract insects.help break them down in a compost pile works quickly in summer tempsshredded leaves by a lawn mower or weed wacker will break down fasterAlso shredded leaves are great used as mulch in the gardenI use shredded leaves to keep the weeds down in my garden and it free, feeds the soil and plants around them.
Q: I need a picture of a skyscraper made of aluminum for a science project. i have had such a hard time looking and i am yet to find a picture of a skyscraper made of mostly aluminum. can anyone find me a picture of a very tall skyscraper made of aluminum? thanks =]
Luigi's answer is broadly correct, but I would like to point out that a structure's natural vibrational frequency is proportional to √(k/m), where k is stiffness and m is mass. Aluminum has 1/3 the elastic modulus of steel, and therefore 1/3 the stiffness for an identically-shaped structure, but it also has 1/3 the mass of the steel structure. Its natural frequencies (ignoring aeroelastic effects) are therefore approximately the same. While aluminum can't get nearly as strong as the strongest steels, 6061 aluminum (a very common aluminum alloy) is just as strong as the typical A36 structural steel. They both have a yield strength of about 36,000 psi. So why not build a skyscraper out of aluminum? 6061 aluminum and A36 steel may be structurally comparable, but A36 steel is far cheaper. That's the real reason.
Q: I'm debating what kinda of drum sticks to buy, I want sticks that are very light, but are 5A or 5AB/AN size. Do the Ahead aluminum sticks damage cymbals and rims? Any reccomendations on drum sticks?
I don't think they would hurt anything but you would have no real rimshot with aluminum.
Q: Just found aluminium foil pieces, a lollipop, a card, and an empty water bottle with a hole in it in my nephew's carWe also found liquor in the trunk, just to give you an idea of his interestsAre those three items a sign of him doing weed? We do not smell anything in the car, but his behavior lately and the fact that he has a new group of friends is making us wonderLet me know, thanks.
I often cook a lot during the weekend and have ready-to-heat dishes in the freezerIts pretty easy if you know what you likefor ex., a good and very large 'bolognese'-style sauce will be enough for a pasta dish and a lasagnaYou can also make a stew with any kind of meat or veggies you like and freeze in.
Q: Hi, just wondering, what are the major advantages and disadvantages does carbon have over aluminum frames? Stiffness, weight, durability? Thanks.
Carbon frames have a big weight advantage over aluminum frames. Carbon is stiffer. Stiffness is the key to a road bike because it prevents lateral movement or bends in the frame that can loose power efficiency. Depending on what type of manufacturer, aluminum frames have gotten a lot better over the years. They are becoming more stiffer and lighter. You compare a carbon frame to a aluminum frame, there might not even be a big advantage. A lot of manufactures are making mediocre carbon frames that just aren't that great for twice the price of a aluminum frame. There are also Carbon/Alloy frames where the alloy frame can have a carbon rear seatstay and/or chainstay. Those features help dampen the road vibrations and loose weight. If you are into a lot of racing, a carbon frame would likely to fit your preference. If you are more of a recreational speedy rider, an aluminum frame bike is more preferable.
Q: Found an idea on Pinterest for Pinata cookies, but I need a donkey cookie cutter! A horse could work, but I really would prefer a donkey one! Having a fiesta-themed party in the summer so I am trying to get stuff in advance! Anyone know any major companies/store chains that sell donkey cookie cutters? Please answer with a link to the store! I don't like buying from small, unknown companies unless it is absolutely necessary (which it may have to be!) Please answer ASAP :)
look at Kitchen Shoppe, other kitchen specialty stores, Wilton shelves in Walmart, or find a coloring book and cut both ends out of aluminum can and shape to match the donkey on the coloring book using pliers to bend the can.
Q: Is it possible to recycle aluminum foil and what are the considerations for doing so?

Yes, aluminum foil can be recycled. It is made from aluminum, which is a highly recyclable material. Recycling aluminum foil conserves resources and energy, as it requires significantly less energy to recycle aluminum than to produce it from raw materials. To recycle aluminum foil, it should be cleaned and separated from other waste. It's important to check local recycling guidelines, as some recycling centers may not accept foil due to contamination or processing difficulties.

Q: I am trying to calculate the thermal resistance of a flat aluminum plate of dimensions: 110x57.5x2.5 (mm)How should I go about and do it?I used the formula: thermal resistance thickness/(thermal conductivityxarea)With this i get a value of 0.001668°C/WIsnt it too small?I do a smilar calculation for a heat sink with parallel plate fins with the same dimensions and I get a higher thermal resistanceI get 4.5°C/W which is more realistic, therefore I think that I did a mistake in calculating the thermal resistance of the flat plate. Can anyone help me?
Thermal resistance of a thin Al plate would be low, assuming you are measuring through the thicknessA heat sink would have a much higher value as the heat has to travel the length of the material, plus flow into the airActually, you probably don't have enough data to calculate this unless you take into account the shape of the fins, and the thermal resistance of the metal air interface.
