Q:My Mitsubishi Ecplise Spyder. Changed the door and now the Power window and roof won't work. The Fuse both by the side door and under the hood are ok. Please help. Do you take the risk and run over to the neighbors, do you stay put and hope you don't die?: we stayed put when ike arrived in our neighborhood. once a storm arrives, it's too late to run to a neighbor's house. you wouldn't believe the wind we had in the day or 2 before ike actually came. the sky was bright & sunny, no clouds, but unbelievable wind already. if the storm starts to look bad, stay away from windows. before storm gets there, check your roof & nail down any loose shingles. put anything loose in the yard into garage. get car in there too if it'll fit. if you're close enough to the coast that you'll get the wind & rain, then if your car won't go into garage, then park it as close to house as possible, sideways, whatever way keeps it from being out in the wind. get groceries that don't need the frig. clean the tub & fill with water. if services get shut down, you'll need it for dishes, laundry, baths, flushing toilets. get drinking water from the store. get refills now for any meds you might run out of in the next week. most of all, don't panic. listen to tv & radio & follow suggestions.

Loans are not free you pay them back. Grants are free money given to you for a specific reason. But some states pay for repairs and upgrades done to your home if you qualify. I believe they receive a certain amount of money each year to do this. So be quick! As an electrician I have worked on some of these homes. I have also directed people in need to the state agency involved and been paid directly by the state.

Thanks.Craig: the 2 x 4 is the wallplate this should go all around the top layer of bricks This in itself is unlikly to be the the cause of the sag It sounds like you have a problem with the window lintell this can be brick, timber, but bigger more like 6 x 4, or it can be steel it will require some work before problem gets worse

I assumed burned out motors.(checked all fuses)BUT I realized that my power windows and power sunroof and wiper-fluid-shooter stopped working at the same time. radio heat AC fan all still work.This leads me to believe the windows roof and wipers work of the same circuit/line/plug(thing*) and that thing* is bad.I have tried: checking the fuse box, and unplugging the battery for 11 minuets(to reset the computers). neither changed anything.I asked this question awhile ago but that was before I realized the other stuff wasn't working.Thanks in advance.: Well I'm assuming if they all work off of the same circuit, you've lost a power or ground somewhere along the way (Which I'm assuming you've figured out) You said the fuse box is ok. And really, you can't figure this out at home. You need wiring schematics for your exact vehicle, and for all the systems with problems. You would also need an Ohm meter to find out exactly where you've lost power or ground. All in all, I recommend taking it to a mechanic if you can't get these things, or don't know how to work the Ohm meter.
