Q: I am planning a Fairytale theme garden. We have approx 1 acre and would like to include Snow White and Alice in wonderland areas. I am having trouble finding garden statues but I know they're out there, I've seen them in other gardens. Any suggestions?

Q: i was working at the time-went in to tell HR person that i was going to dr. as i couldn't move arm. she wrote it down as home injury because it was already hurting from working day before. Same injury happened year before and was a paid work comp. case.
Rules vary from state to state, but generally you can sue for anything. Doesn't mean you'll win.
Q: I was checking it out on line. It appears that you don't have to do the renovating to enter. However, you do have to submit materials and estimates and fill out an extensive entry form for each project. Just wondering if it is worth the effort. I need renovation in my bathroom and kitchen but couldn't afford it unless I won one of the prizes.
I've never entered any contest from Better Homes and Gardens, but as an avid comper[1] myself, I suggested that you entered the contest eventhough you have to fill the extensive entry forms. For a free renovation, a week of your time to plan out and a day to fill in the forms is totally worth it.
Q: Basically, my dog has fleas, and if you have experienced the 'joy' that is fleas you would know that they are a bloody nuisance! They have spread pretty quickly and we have tried giving him vet strength flea treatment every 3 months (as advised), then every month instead, cleaned the house completely, bathed him frequently, brushed as many fleas/eggs from my dog and flushed them all down the toilet.I seem to think the problem is with my garden but how exactly am I supposed to banish fleas from my garden, my whole house even. Tbh I'm not that bothered about the fleas being in my house, because it's my dog I feel for, bless him, It's terrible to see him scratching. I don't have a load of money and would prefer budget ideas but if you know of something that has worked a treat in similar situations that is more expensive, please, share that too. Help me please. It's so much appreciated!

Q: I want to plant a garden in my new home! It will mainly be vegtable but I may have some other types of plants. I wanted to know if there are any plants that may be dangerous to my two yellow labs?
do not let them eat onion or grapes if you have it in the garden. everything else should be fine.
Q: Most garden books I have seen in stores are for general gardening in places like New York or Illinois. I'm looking for a book that is for the year around gardening conditions here in California. Help please?
If you have a Barnes and Nobel around you, I know here in North Carolina, they have a specific book for this state, you might want to check to see if they have one for California, probably like California:Gardening(vegetables, fruit) and I have the NC one, and I have to say it is an excellent source for all kinds of veggies and flowers, it even has average frost times/maps, planting dates and other kinds of maps/info. I also own the Gardening for Dummies, which that one teaches you how to do everything, from picking out the seed/plants to pollinating/ graphing to growing the biggest garden you can.
Q: Hi!I have beautiful home and garden decoration products as water-fountains,pots.I was thinking to start selling them on different shows as well.Does anybody know about these shows?I'm interested in selling in seasonal locations like Orange county,Santa Barbara, along the beachAny useful advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Santa Barbara - via fact it has the climate of Southern California with the small city experience of the mandatory Coast. Coastal Orange County is magnificent, yet too corresponding to l. a. for my style. I additionally relish San Diego, whether it rather is now very superior and is only too on the ingredient of the Mexican border.
Q: We just moved in and there is a preexisting garden in the back yard that hasn't been touched in years. I'm going to rip the hole thing out and start fresh. I know nothing about gardening but its been something I've wanted to do for a while. After I get everything out how should I go about replacing the area? (with top soil? fertilizer? Any tips, advice or good websites would be greatly appreciated

Q: I am a believer in providing my own food for myself, but i am worried that in the future the pollen of GMO's will contaminate the crops i am growing at home? Is this a possibility?
Yes, it is possible. In fact, there was a case a few years back where Monsanto was taking some farmers to court because their neighbors were growing GMO soy beans and Monsanto thought the others' soybeans may have been cross with their GMO soy beans. Since the farmers Monsanto took to court were saving seeds from their crop Monsanto claimed they were benefiting from their GMO work without paying for the benefit. In essence, the companies making GMO seeds can claim you owe them for using their product even if you did not know your crop had been crossed with their modified plants' pollen if you saved seeds to plant the following year. There are also some organic growers suing Monsanto for contaminating their organic and heirloom crops with GMO pollen as this would change their foods and seeds status, possibly (probably) making them unusable for their intended purpose. Personally, I hope they win and Monsanto has to pay such a large award they have to abandon their GMO projects entirely. Google 'Monsanto sues farmers' and read about the Canadian farmer they sued and the end result of the suit; it is very interesting. Good luck and enjoy!
Q: If you have a home garden, and you grow more than what you can use, what do you do with the extra? Do you give it to friends and family or do you give it to those in need by way of food pantries at churches or a food bank? Do you give it to homeless shelters? Or do you just let it rot and throw it away?
I do! I donate lemons.
