- Q: My teacher told us about this one quote where a friendship was like a garden. It needs a lot of little stuff for it to be strong and that after a storm if it was built good then it would overcome it. I forgot how it went, can you tell me..?
- Here's a part of a Tiny Tim ditty.... ''And if I kiss you in the garden, in the moonlight, will you pardon me, come tip toe thru the tulips with me''...
- Q: its a better homes and gardens full length mirror and comes with quot;easy to install hardware.quot; the hardware are two little triangle things hinged onto a square shaped part with a hole on the end. does that make sense? i guess one way to say it is that its shaped lke a little house, a square and triangle on top as the roof but the triangle is a hook and rather than a door there is a little circle which im assuming a nail goes. and it also came with two screws. my question is do i screw the nail and the little quot;housequot; into the mirror and then hang them on a nail on my wall?plese help i don't want to mess up the mirror
- You hang a mirror just like you hang a picture. You screw your little triangle things on the sides of your mirror, hook a cable between them, and hook the cable to a hanger you've screwed into a stud of the wall.
- Q: I have taken three phrases from the article, “Why Bother?” and have asked people why this would motivate them into planting a garden. Planting the garden would help with the climate change and in other words going green.Your input would be greatly appreciated“…A great many things happen when you plant a vegetable garden, some of them directly related to climate change, others indirect but related nevertheless.”“…planting a garden sounds pretty benign, I know, but in fact it’s one of the most powerful things an individual can do- - to reduce your carbon footprint…”“Well, you will probably notice that you’re getting a pretty good workout there in your garden, burning calories without having to get into the care to drive to the gym.”All quotes from quot; Why Botherquot; by Michael Pollan
- The most important and logical reason to grow a home garden is it is 100% toxic chemical free, unless you apply them yourself. The second reason is the food has a much better flavor and texture when allowed to vine ripen instead of being subjected to gases to make them ripen. Third is for your health. Home grown veggies reduce cancer and central nervous system damage and other illnesses associated with the chemicals used in the production, storage and preparation of commercial foods. Trying to stop global warming would be the worst reason for trying to grow a garden. It is a misconception that plants will stop green house warming. During the day, plants absorb carbon dioxide, and give off oxygen, at night they reverse the process and take in oxygen and give off carbon dioxide. Simple plants like algae are the exception, giving off more oxygen during the day than carbon dioxide at night. Actually, according to my college classes in chemistry that pertain to the environment, Plants encourage global warming by giving off fluorocarbons through their leaves, a major green house gas. The forest and plant life of the planet are the second greatest contributor to green house gases. Global warming and the wet rainy climate associated with it is good for plants, so by nature, plants try to create an environment best for them. During planetary warming cycles, thousands of new plant species evolve and then die out when the next ice age occurs. Someone must have read only what they wanted from the scientific research on this subject, not the whole study.

- When we moved into our house, I could tell there was negative energy hanging around, especially at the end of the hallway where the bedrooms are. On the main bedroom there was a small mirror on the outside of the door. On removal, we found fist sized holes in the door. I also found an 8x10 picture of the previous owner's daughter on an upper shelf of the closet. I got rid of all evidence of the previous owner. I also placed small quartz crystals on top of the door sills. The points are all pointing out of the hallway. They all point in the same direction. I also hung a round faceted leaded crystal from the light fixture in the center of the area. This area is like a vortex in which all the negativity swirled around. The crystals point the way out and the faceted crystal helps consolidate the negative energy so that it flows out of the area. It really helped. My adult son thinks it's malarkey, but I can feel it worked. You can also burn some sage in the house to purify the home. Sage is used like incense. It just smolders and the smoke purifies.
- Q: Terrace garden decoration, how economical and practical?
- The environment has been created with minimal cost
- Q: My friend father died and asked that his ashes be spread into the garden of his home. He had cancer and will this pollute this garden? The bible speaks of ashes to ashes and dust to dust, so will this affect the growing of the plants or fruits?
- Place the ashes under a rememberance tree.
