Q: any specific brands or models? I'm looking for under 200 dollars, thanks
Unfortunately with vacuum cleaners as with all other things in life, you get what you pay for. You aren't going to find a good pet vacuum for that price, unless you find someone selling a used but still functional one. I own a Dyson DC17 Animal. It does a great job, but also will run you close to $500. My less expensive Bissel Pet Hair Eraser was repaired under warranty 3 times and died again right after the warranty expired. Plus, it didn't clean half as well as the Dyson even when it was working properly.
Q: I have a 1933 hoover 800. It needs the bearings greased really badly. And I have no idea how to do it.
then i suggest dont! you will never get it together again!
Q: im 22 yrs old, dont like to work to work for ppl and i just want to be my own boss,is a vacuum cleaner business good?what do i need and how much will i invest?
Depends. If you have a lot of ambition drive, starting your own business can be a great thing. Being your own boss is actually more difficult than merely waking up in the morning and going to a job - because YOU are in charge of your company, you will have to make ALL the decisions to make sure you are profitable, make sure your customers are happy, and possibly oversee employees. You don't need anything other than ambition and drive, plus some starting capital (money you would use to buy starting supplies for your business). A few thousand dollars should be a good start for vacuum cleaners. Think things through carefully before you take out a loan. If you feel you would be happy and be able to maintain enough organization to make the business work, good for you! I wish you good luck.
Q: Are these vacuums really as great as people say they are? Are they really the best vacuums? I've always wondered about them, I may do the 30 day trial some day, but I'd like to find out more about them first.
I have a cheap ole Hoover from Wal Mart but if I were to spend the money, I'd seriously be looking at the Dyson vacuum with the ball. Yes Oreck is top of the line and so is Dyson, I like the idea of the maneuverability the ball on the Dyson gives.
Q: If pizza hut sells pizza, sunglass hut sells sunglasses why does fingerhut sell vacuum cleaners?
Why, are you in the market for fingers?
Q: I need the upright vacuum cleaners found in consumer reports can this be found local or online?
anywhere......You did not state which one?
Q: My vacuum cleaner is broken and I was just thinking what did people use before vacuum cleaners? random question I know but it just popped into my head.
You poor thing. From what I can remember, a lot of people used brooms.....yes brooms. Or they would take them outside and hang then over a rope or something and beat on them to get the dirt out of them or just shake them outside. I know this is wall to wall and that would be impossible.
Q: The best?
i had a roomba, but we lived overseas and plugged into a converter to charge it. when we got back to the states, it didn't work. plus, it snags on the fringes of carpets. it worked fine, but was more of a pain to set up the room to accomodate it than just getting out the old fashioned one and getting the job over with.
Q: Is it just me or is anyone else afraid of vacuum cleaners?
Oooh nasty things! I hate it when the vaccuum cleaner wakes me up! Sometimes it chases me around the room.
Q: How do vacuum cleaners work?
well if u loook at the brand and try to find the website and you know like yahoo search it u can try and find out how ur special vaccum works
