FAQ
Q: What's the difference with cyclonic to multi-cyclonic filtration system?
Multi-cyclonic is where the dust container has a plastic filter section inside and has many little tunnels in it that separate the finer dust and dirt for the next filter and there is no HEPA filter in the middle plastic filter section.
Cyclonic filtration is where there is a central HEPA filter that sits inside the dust container and catches the finer dust.
Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?
All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.
- Q:Hi im going to purchase a steam cleaner to wash my carpet but i also have a vacuum that i use to take off the dirt off my carpet but it really needs a wash thats why i want to buy a steam cleaner. does the steam cleaner also replace a vacuum by sucking dirt up or is it only for washing the carpets? cuz i dont want to buy that on top of buying another newer vacuum
- No, you have to have a regular vacuum to just vacuum. The steamer will not work as well as the vacuum; they are made to suck up water, not dry vacuum.
- Q:how did they clean carpets before there were vacuum cleaners?
- they were area rugs then they would drag them outside and beat them with a broom
- Q:What is the point of this, if you are more than likely not going to be vacuuming at night? I've heard people say that it is to quot;know if a specific area is cleanbut I mean seriously... I don't think you really need lights do you?? Just vacuum during the day perhaps? Works for me and I don't have a dirty house.
- I have wondered this before, then I realized how helpful it was when vacuuming in the closets. I've got kids, and thanks to that little light, I have avoided sucking up barbie shoes and hair clips.
- Q:Someone knocks. You open the door. It's Jesus selling vacuum cleaners. Do you let him in for a demo?
- Umm, no. If he's selling vacuum cleaners he must have lost his original job and powers. He therefore gets treated like any other door-to-door salesman.
- Q:We know that black holes do not suck up everything in the universe; you have to cross the event horizon before you get sucked in forever. Does this make black holes comparable with vacuum cleaners? After all, vacuum cleaners do have a finite effective radius themselves
- interesting analogy! it would seem that most galaxies are pretty much in balance with their central black holes. Sure, it just keeps eating away at the core, but it seems we still have several billions of years left to us. Could get dicey when Andromeda comes to call. The Battle of the Black Holes?
- Q:I need a good vacuum for my floors - right now I sweep every night - then i swiffer wet jet or clean with wipes on my hands and knees. Im very OCD about my floors being clean as you can tell - Ive tried the BISSELL stick Vacuum for hardwood floors but it is worthless - the basic broom seems to work the best but still doesn't get everything... what is the best Lightweight inexpensive vacuum out there for that type of flooring.... thanks guys for your info!
- I use an Oreck vacuum on my hardwood floors. I've had many vacuum cleaners in my life and now only use and Oreck, its the best IMO. It's lightweight so you don't feel like you're hauling a monster around, easy maneuverable, suction power is fantastic, the service is great too. Just an excellent cleaner.
- Q:Why do diesel locomotives sound like loud vacuum cleaners when they are running power. Does it have to do with gas combustion?
- turbos
- Q:im just really curious about it and whats the difference with the conventional vacuum cleaner?is it worth buying?
- they clean dirty steam
- Q:Hi everyone, I will be buying a new vacuum cleaner soon and would like some recommendations/ testimonials from regular users of vacuums as to which ones you all feel is/are the best. It needs to be one that is good for picking up pet hair, and doing a 3 bedroom house top to bottom, (so will be on for a good while when in use), also the cost needs to be under ?200. many thanks.
- I recommend going with a good quality bagless such as a Dyson or the LG. I've owned my DC07 for about 7 years and have had zero problems with it and it still does a fantastic job. I also have the LG, and it too is a great vacuum. If you would like a Dyson but can't afford one, then the LG is the perfect substitute, as it uses the same technologies and has excellent features at more reasonable price.
- Q:my mom has a vacuum cleaner that is electrical and has a filter that our suppose to dump and well shes gone threw tons of vacuum cleaners and just gave up and is keeping this one well it gets clogged up and a lot of areas and her birthday is coming up and i would like to fix it for her so she doesn't have to put up with it any more what do i do?
- First of all, unless your mother is very enthusiastic about her vacuuming, don't fix it for her birthday. Take her out to dinner, buy her a nice pair of slippers and her favorite perfume. Not a vacuum. All you can do is clean it out as much as you can. Look for larger objects that may have been sucked in and remove them. If it is clogged with a bunch of hair from someone or some pet, try and stop that hair from reaching the floor. Combing your pet on a regular basis and throwing away the hair not only helps your animal in the summer heat, but also keeps the hair off the floor. Good luck, and find a better gift for your mom than a working vacuum.
