FAQ

Q: What's the difference with cyclonic to multi-cyclonic filtration system?

Multi-cyclonic is where the dust container has a plastic filter section inside and has many little tunnels in it that separate the finer dust and dirt for the next filter and there is no HEPA filter in the middle plastic filter section.

Cyclonic filtration is where there is a central HEPA filter that sits inside the dust container and catches the finer dust.

Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?

All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.

Q: I should also add that I need a vacuum cleaner that has strong suction and is good for picking up cat hair.
I have a couple of Oreck vacuum cleaners. They have disposable bags. They are powerful and light weight. You need the Oreck hand vacuum that goes with the upright Oreck as there is no hose on the main unit. Oreck has a small vacuum with all the hose attachments and it also has a disposable bag. Very handy for doing stairs. I've had mine for about eight years with no problems at all.
Q: I was conversing with a person in the vacuum industry and was informed that they were a bucket of s.h.i.t so don't be fooled by the marketing.
Not yet, but I pray to the Scandinavian gods every night that IKEA will formulate a Dyson vacuum for the masses, perhaps called a Suctionflugen or a Vacuumuum.
Q: I just received my grandmas old old, quot; The Ultimate Kirby Diamond Edition vacuumand dont kow what to do with it.It has never been used even the cord has never been unwound. My dad says that it was once worth round 2000 but now is worthless. It also has a bunch of attachments..Any ideas on what to do with it???
If you don't want it, put it up on okorder under free stuff. I guarantee someone will want it for scrap or to try and restore.
Q: it annoys me so much, i wish they would make a quiet one
Well, consider that most dogs don't make the connection between the vacuum cleaner and the fact that you're using it to clean the house. It's just a noisy, scary looking contraption that you turn on once a week and wipe all over the floor, usually shooing them away from the place that they've been resting. Many dogs like vacuum cleaners, but the ones who don't are usually just scared of them because they don't understand them.
Q: I have had Sears vacuum cleaners, with beater bar and brushes, for over 40 years, now all of a sudden the bars have only brushes, no beater (to vibrate dust out of the carpet.) So I am wondering if ANY other company has them???.
I bought one at sears 9 months ago.
Q: Hoover or Kenmore? I say Kenmore, because a gladiator would like greater quality. I have thought Kenmore would be a gladiator's best friend when it comes to vacuuming. I have thought that the guy would go for Kenmore Progressive canister vacuum cleaner to buy and use, instead of a Hoover vacuum cleaner that is made in China or Mexico, for quality reasons. I thought Kenmore would sound more gladiator-like than Hoover. Also because of performance and that a Kenmore would hold up better than any Hoover that is one the market. I would say gladiators in general prefer Kenmore over Hoover for quality, performance, reliability, and ease of use. Because of this. I do think it would be a minority of them that would prefer Hoover than Kenmore.
Yes , I think you are correct , a gladiator would prefer a Kenmore vacuum cleaner...........
Q: Every vacuum cleaner I have ever had starts smelling burned after 1 min.of use. They barely pick up anything and I have to go over that spot 10 times. In addition I have to clean the rollers EVERY time before vacuuming. What amI doing wrong? This happens with all my vacum cleaners, new or used.
It can be anything, but if it happens to all of your vacuums then it's probably something you are or are not doing. I would look at the above suggestions, like checking the belts to checking the height adjuster. Then, consider your vacuum. You have to change the bags, which do clog up. You should do this every 3 months if you vacuum weekly.
Q: i was cleaning my pc with with a vacuum ( wich im already doing for years)and before i know my pc would't startup when i pressed the power button i connected my power SW (switch) and reset SW and speakers to my motherboardnow my pc will start but after i get my first ASUS screen it just shuts down???? everytime again.....this is what i already tried to do : unplug 1 RAM card see if my cpu fan was properely attached to motherboard changing the POWER SW and the RESET SW from positions and it still doesn't want to work ???Please help me i would appreciate that.greets Jason Dewaide
That's a big NO-NO... Vacuum cleaners create tons of static electricity which can damage computer components, especially graphics cards, processors and even motherboards. Only clean a computer with canned compressed air for electronics, never use a vacuum cleaner.
Q: 17th century chemist and physicist Rober Boyle discovered that sound won't travel through a vacuum. Then why is my vacuum cleaner so loud?
really?? did u not think about this b4 u posted??......the only vacuum in ur vacuum cleaner is inside of it....the motor and the parts making the vacuum are not anywhere near the vacuum so noise travels freely.....
Q: Here is the question:Inside all vacuum cleaners is a high speed fan. Explain how this fan causes dirt to be picked up by the vaccum cleaner.I am a tutor but dont understnad this so just give em the answers and ill choose your answer, for the kids.
the fan causes the vacuum cleaner to suck-in the air. as the moving air passes by the dirt particles, it's the INTERACTION of the moving air and the dirt that causes the dirt to be drawn along with the air. basically, the air molecules bash into the dirt particle and impart energy (momentum) to the dirt, and this is what makes it move. if there was no air motion over the dirt, then the dirt particles would not respond to the vacuum cleaner.
