FAQ
Q: What's the difference with cyclonic to multi-cyclonic filtration system?
Multi-cyclonic is where the dust container has a plastic filter section inside and has many little tunnels in it that separate the finer dust and dirt for the next filter and there is no HEPA filter in the middle plastic filter section.
Cyclonic filtration is where there is a central HEPA filter that sits inside the dust container and catches the finer dust.
Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?
All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.
- Q: I hate vacuum cleaners and my dad vacuums all of the time. Does anybody know of a silent vacuum cleaner?
- Only a central, whole house vacuum could come close to silence and then only if the fan/motor part was in the garage, outside or very deep in the basement. Vacuums work by turning a rather high speed fan and they are quite noisy. So, you would need to isolate that noise somewhere outside the living area to have a nearly silent system. Even then, moving air makes noise so... Bert.
- Q: Do Roomba robot vacuum cleaners actually vacuum, or are they just sweepers?
- in the event that they scouse borrow a Dyson vacuum cleanser...why no longer? permit me in basic terms plug my new Dyson into my associates skill grant and wallah! vacuuming with a Dyson is the recent borrowing gray Poupon? out of your associates Bently..yay!
- Q: What are everybody's opinions on the Kirby HI/HII/LI/LII vacuum cleaners/carpet shampooers?
- My opinion is that you NEVER want to buy a carpen shampoo machine. The ones for regular people are really worthless. The best thing to do is get somebody over to shampoo your carpets - they have a huge machine in their truck, and it actually works. Talk to any rental outfit or store that sells construction materials - the contractors often hire these guys to clean up their places... and they're not that expensive.
- Q: i am trying to decide which toddler vacuum cleaner to get my daughter for christmas. i've been reading reviews and still can't decide. we have a dyson which we *love* but the childs dyson has the worst reviews of all, it seems. does anyone have the kids dyson, hoover, dirt devil... or any of the other ones? i really just want the one that actually works the best. we have 4 dogs and my 2 y/o actually will go around with our handheld and go straight for dog hair to 'clean up.' i'd like to get her up off her knees and be able to do the 'push and pull' with a real vacuum like mommy and daddy do since that's what she really wants... plus using the dustbuster has her hands closer to the brushes than i'd like.
- none of them really work! I think you looking for a reall one. If you go to Target, they have great DirtDevil's and Eurekas that work like a real upright (they are) and don't need bagS
- Q: I am searching for low price vacuum cleaners that do a very good job of picking up stuff and don't wear out easily. Do you know any good vacuum cleaners under $70. The lower the price is the better.
- Head to your local vac repair shop. They will have used (but great) machines. Any new machines in the $70.00 range are crap and will break after about two years of normal use. I am kicking myself for not spending more money, and getting the Kenmore that was ranked #1 in Consumer Review. It is $250.00 but cleans like a dream, is quiet, and worked better than the Dyson. Also, I would check with Freecycle, it is a Yahoo group that allows people to both search and find things they need at no charge. Good Luck!
- Q: Do you have an amazing vacuum cleaner and what is the name and cost? I am looking for something exceptional.?
- Consumers Reports had a recent rating on vacuum cleaners.Check the local library, you can read it for free or Xerox the article. There is no point in spending hundreds of dollars more for a small margin of improvement.
- Q: I've never had one so any opinion would really help.THANKS...
- I have only owned one robot vacuum, and that's a Roomba Discovery. I LOVE IT!!! I do still vacuum weekly with my regular vacuum. Roomba will only get floors, and won't vacuum couches, beds, etc. This may not make a big difference to you, but if you have pets like me it's huge. Anyway, back to the question at hand. I love my Roomba. I sit it in the middle of a room once or twice a week and it keeps everything cleaner. I dust less. It's easier to vacuum when I do use the regular vacuum. If you have large open areas, you may also want to invest in the longer life battery. As for others, I have only heard what other people think. And ALL have said that the only one to own is the Roomba Discovery. I guess I lucked out starting with that one. I saw on the iRobot website the other day that they have a newer one called a Dirt Dog, or something like that. I believe that's designed for pet hair pick up so that's something to keep in mind. Cons - not many. It vacuums for you. You don't do much.
- Q: I have 4 cats and my vacuum recently broke. It wasn't all that good with picking up cat hair anyways. Can you suggest good vacuum cleaners for cat hair under $200? The attachments aren't a big deal to me and probably would be more of a hassle. Looking for something with easy disposable and strong suction. Thanks
- if you want a good vacuumm for pets it is going to cost much much more than 200 bux.
- Q: How have machines been harmful AND helpful to our society?
- Well they create more pollution and cause people to lose jobs sometimes. But they do make our lives easier. I'm glad I don't need to hand wash the clothing for example. Also they save lives like MRI machines, xrays, and so on.
- Q: Where in heaven may we find Gulf Oil Vacuum Cleaners ?
- i always thought they should put giant coffee filters on the bottoms of boats.
