FAQ:
Q1: Are electronics cheap in Okorder.com?
A: Of course. They are very cheap. The factories provide the goods. One-stop sourcing.
Q2: Why are electronics so cheap in ok order?
A: On ok order they are the lowest price. Because it is a wholesale website and factory provide goods.
Q3: Do all electronics have silicon in them?
A: No but most modern ones do. Older electronics that don't require micro chips don't have to have silicon at all, and their mother boards are made from copper. Silicon is used in micro chips as a semi-conductor in modern electronics but some other semi-metals, like gallium and germanium can also be used. Silicon is just the most common because it is so plentiful.
- Q: If you have every gone to a reader and returned? Why? What drove you back?
- Because in the past, visiting the tarot card reader resulted in a reinforcing consequence.
- Q: I have a cell phone that uses a sandisk memory card and adapter from verizon when i put it in the computer the light dosen't come on, so I don't know if it is not pushed all the way i . if it is in the right way or what. Please help
- It's hard to tell because we don't know what kind of computer you are using. Generally, you have to make sure your computer can read that type of memory card and make sure that you are inserting it correctly. If you think the memory card is in correctly, you can try checking My Computer to see if it recognizes the memory card. From what I've experienced, most memory cards from phones aren't recognized by the computer's memory card reader, however, the computer still recognizes it in My Computer. I hope that helps.
- Q: Does this mean you cant save games?
- It doesn't have a built in card slot to read memory sticks but you can buy a 6 in 1 card reader that will plug into the USB port and it will do the same thing so the 40GB version is better value for money as all it has is extra memory.
- Q: 1. What is a USB cable?2. What is a Card Reader?3. What is the differences?4. Which one do I need for my camera to upload pictures onto a computer? or would it be best to have both?
- Cable: It's a way for you to connect your camera directly to your computer via a USB Port on your system and the port on your camera. Reader: It's a small device into which you insert your memory card then plug that into a USB port. Windows will see the reader as a drive so you can copy/paste your photo files into the folder of your choice. No extra software required. The difference is that you don't need any special software to make the reader work - it talks directly to Windows as I wrote above. I use them all the time. I have three digital cameras and all use different styles of cards so I have three different readers. They all work very well. So well in fact I have no photo upload software installed. I, of course, have a viewer program but no upload software - very handy indeed. You can use the software that came with your camera but I see lots of write ups here about problems with it. Fact is I've had those same problems so that's why I went to readers. The readers have never failed to connect to Windows and they make what can be a complicated job very simple. Great news, they're really cheap to boot!
- Q: I shot 150 photos on my Nikon using compact flash card, and I see the photos on the camera but when I try to download using usb reader, I cannot open the card drive, it tell me card is not formatted do I want to format card? How do I get these pics off my card like they appear while in the camera?

- Q: I have this internal card reader made by Northstar, and I want to put it in my Vista machine. It doesn't recognize it. Anyone know of Vista drivers for this? It originally came out of an HP Pavilion a819n desktop, and no I don't have the recovery disk(s). Thanks in advance!!
- have you tried installing it to other desktop computer? you may need to install it to other units or from its original source(HP Pavilion a819n desktop). And if it wont be detected by other computers too, then it is already not working or somehow damaged. Because as far as your using windows Vista almost all of the plug and play hardware are being detected(that includes your card reader). But if your hardware came with a driver, you should install it. And with your case, you dont have a driver for that device you may try to download those driver from the manufacturers support page. hope this could help.
- Q: Am just learning digital camera. After I put the photo card into the card reader, then what??
- But the memory card into the card reader, and plug the card reader into the USB port in your computer. Usually, the computer will automatically detect the USB port (mac always does) with the camera card and then you can view the pictures by opening up the card; but if it doesnt detect it (on windows) you can go my computer and find the card reader hardware and upload them that way. good luck.
- Q: I need to get a media card reader for my laptop and I need to know if I should get a PC Card media reader or a USB one, is PC Card faster than USB? Right now the PC Card is most likely what I'll get because it's basically internal and I won't have to plug it in and out etc.
- Most PCs are discontinuing PC cards in newer models, so if you plan on a new PC at all soon, consider a USB. They are nearly as fast at the PCMCIA, cheaper, and more easily switchable without as much driver issues. I'd personally get a USB.
- Q: I hve a HP laptop running Windows Vista with an SD card reader slot in it. Whenever I insert an SD card the laptop makes the standard windows Hardware inserted sound then about 1.5 seconds later makes the Hardware removed noise. How can I fix this?
- Have you ever plugged in something else to the laptop just lately? A printer / Webcam might be? Sometimes other hardware could motive conflicts with drivers and rationale some to stop working unless the clash is long past. So attempt to unplug different hardware and check out once more, you may in finding which is the one inflicting the situation. It would even be the cardboard you are trying to read isn't supported by using the computing device. Some older laptops are not able to learn memory cards larger than 1gb.
- Q: A lot a card readers can read a great variety of formats, ( SD, microSD, MMS, etc, ) but is it possible to find a card reader able to read multiple SD cards ( only ) at the same time, - ie, they would appear in Windows Explorer like drive F, G, H, I, etc, for example. ( I said -only SD- cards )Where to find such a reader?
- Yes. I had one General Electric that I bought at Home Depot in the Home Phone area, and had like 3 or 4 different drives, all read cards at the same time.
