FAQ

I am just wondering if there is such thing as a wiring harness plug adapter. My car came factory with a Kenwood cd player. I am wondering if there is a way to swap head units with out having to splice. I have a Kenwood KDC-222, it's ok but to be honest I have had better results from Dual. I'll probably end up going with a pioneer though. Also I use non-factory subs. Anyways any help would be appreciated.

I want to install a TBI v8 into my 85 Carbureated s10, and I wanted to know if the fuel pump has a wire lead from the engine computer wiring harness to power the fuel pump. I want to keep the fuel system as factory as possible. I will probably get the wiring harness from a later TBI blazer, and just wanted to know about the fuel pump.
first yes there is a wire , second do you have any Idea what you are about to get into ? do you realize you need the whole wiring harness ECM fuellines pump, allso make sure all the above came from the same Source if you a buying these parts from a Salvage yard make sure they gentely unplug eveything not cut or yank the harness Good luck !
I have a 1993 Ford Probe 2.0 Manual. I need help figuring out what I can do to get in running again. The only thing that is stopping it from running is the engine wiring harness that was cut. We pulled the starter out and the wiring harness that is connected to it was cut Can they be rewired? If so where can I get that done? Where can I find a new one that isn't cut? Please help me, I need to find a fast and easy way to get this problem fixed. I've hunted for parts in salvage yards but can't find any that aren't cut from them pulling the engines out. Advice?
If people are cutting the harnesses to pull motors out of the yard cars then it must be fairly straight forward to re-wire the engine once it's in another car. A decent mechanic can probably fix whatever wiring problem you're having if you don't know how to fix it yourself. From past failures I can say that if you're not completely sure what you're doing regarding automotive electricals it's usually cheaper in the long run (even if it costs you more up front) just to let an expert handle it and get it done right the first time.
I have a 2000 honda civic I want to swap with an LS motor and turbo it. Will motor mounts / wire harness, etc match up or will there be any fabrication/ customization / extra's I have to get. Also is it recomended to use the LS tranny or will the D16 bolt on the the LS motor. Thanks!

complete wiring harness for engine lights and dash removal and installation time
In 99% percent of all shops you go to, depending on the the problem of your wiring, they all go by whatever time it takes to remove and install. There may be a actual book time, but most shops don't observe it
If I put a wiring harness for a 98 Jeep wrangler manual into my 98 Jeep wrangler automatic will there be a difference?
Why would you do that? There are different inputs/outputs for different engines. You are sure to have multiple/not enough wires on the harnesses.
