- Q: So I am almost certainly getting a 1987 V8 camaro. The one thing that is a make or break decision is location. I live on Long Island, NY and there are a TON of potholes and high curbs to enter shopping centers etc. Not that I'm taking a muscle car to pick up my cold cuts I was curious; Is the long front end of a 1987 Camaro a problem so far a sscraping along the floor if I were for example pulling into my drive-way. It's not horrible (the angle on the driveway) but I feel maybe just from looking at the front wheels being set back so far making the front quite long, does it scrape and scratch along bumps in the road, or is it higher than it looks?? I dont want to buy one, and scratch the hell out of my front bumper every time I pull up to my house or an entrance is poorly constructed (too high) to get in and out of places. Also speed bumps. is it a prob??
- Yes, that is exactly what you need. Of more concern is what you will use as a mold for the plugs. You need something that you can remove the resin from (Perhaps Heavy Duty Rubber Kitchen Gloves, turned inside out) or latex paint over a mold shape, or pre-made molds. The resin heats as it cures, and bonds to most anything you put it into
- Q: What LAN access control and media does a star topolgy use?
- What you want your mom to do NOTHING? She's not a trained mental nurse and what you are doing (no you haven't stopped), isn't normal. It's become COMMON, as a means to not only temporarily take your mind off your troubles, but also to get attention, and now you have your mother's. She has no idea how to deal with you, so she's doing the best she can. If you don't like it. STOP CUTTING NOW, AND STOP IT FOR GOOD!
- Q: I just moved into new barracks at my new duty station. I have a Gentex smoke detector that is wired into the wall. It chirps every few seconds and its driving me insane. I really want to tear it off the wall and literally kill it. HOWEVER i dont want to pay for damages or get the fire department over here. I already climbed on top of some furniture to reach it and tried to look for a battery access or whatever to perhapsshut it up, but all i could find is how its attached to the wall. I tried to move the dial from Test1 to Normal but only set it off, Test2 has it chirping faster and more annoyingly. All the other guys i ask say theirs dont even have a green ON light in theirs. how do i shut this darn thing up??? (without damaging it or drawing attention)
- You are fine. Acetone won't do anything to you just by working with it, unless it went into your eyes accidently.
- Q: Hello, i was looking for a motorcycle and i was wondering which motorcycle would be a great starteri was looking more for a Street Bikes, not motorcycle that resembles a chopperLike the Kawasaki Ninja I have $1700, but my limit is $2000..I plan to get my class M when i turn 17 in June, also how hard is the Motorcycle test In GeorgiaI checked craigslist, but all find is dirt bikes, mopeds, and ATVs
- Talk to the school, this is not the first time it has happened and you will probably be issued a new lock.
- Q: Why do you thinnk home fire alarms, which detect smoke and unusually high temperature to warn of fire, are always put near the ceiling?
- No- the wires run all through the blanket, at best it will destroy the blanket and at worst it will start a fire.
- Q: Which trees can produce resin?
- Gum, in short, is actually a kind of secretion of trees. When the trees are injured, the wound secretes a thick gum fluid that promotes healing. Gum gradually dry in the air, will form a solid shape, crisp, transparent or translucent, with water swelling or plastic melting into a viscous colloidal solution, in ethanol or most organic solvents are not dissolved, very difficult to clean up. And almost all trees produce gum, which is inevitable.
- Q: Please state the apparatuses required, amount of substances, constants, dependent variables, independent variables and and possible errors. I will get permission from my teacher to carry on with this lab. When your answer gets chosen, you will get 10 points as a prize!
- Once the resin has set, you can't. The only real solution is to remove it (not easy, and will damage the surface it's removed from) and start again. When there are only a few large bubbles you can drill into them, clean out the hole thoroughly and polish the sides until clear, and then inject fresh epoxy thinned with either acetone or denatured alcohol (experiment with a batch to see which is best). You can also make the epoxy much thinner by heating it, but that also gives far less working time. New micro bubbles can escape from very thin epoxy before it sets, but hot epoxy cools and thickens very rapidly when used in very small volumes and solvent thinned epoxy may shrink a bit. Applying vibration also helps bubbles to work their way out of liquid epoxy resin.
- Q: And will they fit the stock rims for my civic, (which are 185/65R14)? OR could I just put 2 studded snow tires on with two regular tires? I live in Seattle, WA so the snow out here with the hills can be very treacherous.
- mark is right - strength with any GRP comes from the impregnation of the glass fibre in the resin. i assume your part is made thin ABS. if you want to strengthen it without adding too much thickness, you could by using a 225g/m2 chopped strand mat or light woven cloth say 190g/m2, this would add a fair amount of strength compared to without. it would add about 0.5 - 0.7mm thickness. you could consider using carbon fibre cloth at say 180gr/m2 or even a carbon kevlar hybrid woven cloth, if you needed shatter or puncture resistance. carbon would increase the strength to weight ratio compared to glass, but the thickness would be similar. cost is another consideration about $80 per lineal meter for the carbon cloth, many times more expensive than glass. for a thinner option you could use 1 or 2 layers of glass surfacing tissue. using only glass surface tissue would be very thin and would take away the brittleness of the ABS plastic, but would not be super strong. hope this helps! cheers, - matty t
- Q: I forget what it's called. Thanks a lot! : )
- As far as I know you can because one way suggested to seal porous materials like paper before coating with epoxy resin (or casting with polyester resin) is to use thinned permanent white glue which is in the same family. Since acrylic paint contains water though, you'd want to make sure the paint is totally dry first. Diane B.
- Q: I want to get a duck, but during winter I won't be able to keep the animal in my house or garage. But my dad said I can keep my duck in the shed that we don't use (it's plenty big don't worry). But it's too far away from any electrical outlets. So are there any blankets or lamps that (or any other heat source) can be charged or use a battery or something? Please and thank you in advance! There is also another place where I could put the duck that has an outlet but I think the shed would work better
- with pipe cleaners. they sell them at tobacco stores. you probably made stuff out of them as a kid
