If you tried to pour the resin around a material which contains a lot of water, the water can interfere with the resin getting hard. If you followed the instructions correctly and it doesn't get hard, there is probably something wrong with the materials and if you bought it recently you should try to get a refund. Storing the components for a long time and result in them not working any more. There are some resins which require heating to about 60-70 degrees Celsius in order to harden them, but I doubt that is what you have. I would recommend to get the brand name of the product and search for something like xxx resin does not set or harden and see whether you get any help on any message boards.
