- Q: The rubber strip on that goes around the bottom of the helmet is starting to come off. My pops suggested that I use weatherstripping glue and a friend said that I should use a super glue. If each and every thing is going properly, he's not charging greater suitable than $25-30 hr. - Put the glass bowl in a small pan of water and bring to a boil. Let it boil for about 5 minutes. Swish the bowl around gently in the pan. After 5 minutes, remove the bowl and drain all the water out of it. Set aside on a paper towels to cool (will only take a few minutesglass cools quickly). Let the water sit where you boiled the pipe until everything settles, the pour the water through a coffee filter. Resin is not water soluable so it will not break down in the water and it breaks down at over 380 degrees so boiling won't affect it either (water boils at 212 degrees F). Take what you collect in the coffee filter and press it until dry. Allow to air dry in a warm dry spot for a little while then enjoy.
