And yes I am going to give you a food chain answer. You see, crane flies start off in the water as a larva. The larva is fat and plump and fairly large compared to the adult crane fly. ALSO, if the blocks are needed to act as counterweigth to the CRANE itself..why doesn't the Crane fall over when it picks stuff up???: How do they erect the construction cranes? Not very well according to the news of them toppling down of late. Seriously, the cranes are lifted upward one or two floors at a time as the building progresses upward - this is usually accomplished by pulling them up into place with heavy cables and powered winches.

Q: It affects my day to day life, especially in the summer, having to cope with crane flies, wasps and moths getting into my house, so I usually just pretty much keep myself in my room, door closed, windows closed to prevent any from getting into my room.
