Q: who invented them and why do people make them?
in Japanese folklore if you fold a 1000 origami cranes you get are granted a wish, usually concerning health/long life. The peace part comes from the story of Sadako Sasaki a victim of the Hiroshima atomic
Q: tell me how to do it, in the easiest way
It's okorder /
Q: how dose a crane work
No a crane cannot lift its self up.A crane is used to pick heavy loads up,by using winchs or hoists.Hydraulic fluid is ran through hose that connect to the winchs. There's a lever to operate each winch, you have a main winch which is used to pick loads up over 10,000 pounds. There's an auxillary winch that picks up load under 9,000 pounds and the boom winch is used to operate the angle of the load and boom. The boom is the extension of an arm like feature. Also depending on the load capacity of the crane.A 20 ton crane and pick up 40,000 pounds and a 10 ton crane can pick up 10,000 pounds.
Q: What time period would you consider that Stephen Crane wrote in? I have no idea. By time period, I mean like the kind of writing from those times. Ex: Renaissance Period.
Stephen Crane (November 1, 1871 - June 5, 1900) was an American novelist, poet and journalist. He was born in Newark, New Jersey, the 14th child of a Methodist minister. He died when he was 28. Sorry I don't know what it's called.
Q: why are whooping cranes on the endangered species list?
Because they have a bad whooping cough lol
Q: I know this is a longshot someone will know what I'm talking about... but I just got a flash memory of a poem where a bird with long legs (I believe cranes, but it could have been flamingos or some other bird) and kids threw stones at them and their legs just snapped.... that's all I can remember, but I remember whatever the line was describing the legs snapping really well because it was in such sharp contrast to the rest of the poem.... anyone have any clue what poem this is?
The Crane and The Crow'-Aesop's fables The farmer threw the stone at the crane and broke both his legs. The injured crane said to the crow, What has become of your God-given prophecies? Why didn't you warn me that his was going to happen?
Q: Its on of the biggest helicopters in 1952-1955 I just need any information via you, internet, or even blue prints!I highly doubt that blueprints are probably destroyed
It never really took off as it was quickly replaced by the CH-54 Tarhe, but here is what I found…
Q: What i am seeing is that people are using manual digging and buckets and manually cutting through steel! If they use cranes, it would be alot faster to get to those buried. I dont belive it is unsafe, if they are meticulous.
Firstly, it can be damnable hard to move cranes through rubble filled streets, even assuming if such things happen to be readily available. Secondly, as the mess beneath the rubble is bound to be unstable, moving stuff off from the top can cause collapses further down. That danger can be lessened by working more slowly and carefully. I dont belive it is unsafe, if they are meticulous. Your belief is all well and good, but is it based on actual experience?
Q: These cranes always stay higher than the construction process but I have never seen how they are extended to stay above all of it. They come in two formats, free standing and those attached to the building. The possibilities that I thought of was that maybe they use another crane to lift the housing and the horisontal arm to put in more modules into the vertical part; or that they extend it by some way by putting modules in at the top or bottom and that the crane has some self-lifting mechanism to accommodate the insertion of more modules. However, I have never seen this being done, nor does the construction of these cranes point to its ability to do so. The only other possibility that I could think of was that the crane is set up at the outset to be higher than the completed height of the building, hence there is no need to extend it but this does not explain how they do it for very high buildings where the crane is attached to the building and seems to grow higher with the building.
Ever heard of Superman?
Q: Is stature of the crane a Japanese, Chinese, or Okinawan form?
Found in kata from all 3 sources okinawan japanese and chinese .GANAKAKU KATA in shotokan CHINTO in okinawan kata and in FUKIEN CRANE STYLE for chinese. GANAKAKU means crane on a rock.
